Thought it would be interesting to see what the best fins team would be if we were allowed to select any player from 2000-2018. Keep in mind if you were an all-star somewhere else and terrible in Miami (Mario Williams). I didn't select that player. This list is completely based off how players played in Miami. I honestly don't know if wed be able to compete with the Rams or Chiefs with this roster which is depressing lol. Figured this would be an interesting change of thread from the usual "Fire Gase" or "Tannehill sucks".

QB - Ryan Tannehill, Chad Pennington (Pennington led us to the playoffs but only played one season and Brady was hurt. Have to go with Tannehill here. And no I'm not a Tanny homer we just have had terrible QB's since Marino)
RB - Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown
WR - Chris Chambers, Marty Booker, Jarvis Landry
TE - Randy McMicheal, Charles Clay
LT - Jake Long, Laremy Tunsil
LG - Richie Incognito
C - Tim Ruddy, Mike Pouncey
RG - Jamie Nails, Mark Dixon (not sure if they were RG or LG)
RT - Vernon Carey, Ju'waan James

DE - Jason Taylor, Olivier Vernon
DT - Ndamonkong Suh, Paul Soliai
DT - Tim Bowens, Randy Starks
DE - Cameron Wake, Trace Armstrong
LB - Channing Crowder, Kiko Alonso
LB - Zach Thomas, Karlos Dansby
LB - Derrick Rodgers, Joey Porter
CB - Sam Madison, Xavien Howard
CB - Patrick Surtain, Brent Grimes
FS - Brock Marion, Minkah Fitzpatrick (Had to, plus i can't think of any FS we had that were very good)
SS - Yeremiah Bell, Reshad Jones

Some people might have some different teams but man other than Zach Thomas our LB's have not been good for a long ass time but I would love watching that D-line and Secondary feast. I also like Chambers but we really haven't had that great of WR's in a long time either.

No list is complete without Jason Taylor.

Come on man

I'd probably go with a 3-4 D:

LE: Suh
NT: Bowens
RE: Starks
LOLB: Wake
LILB: Dansby
RILB: Thomas
ROLB: Taylor
CB1: Madison
CB2: Surtain
FS: Marion
SS: Jones

How about ST? I know the LS is Denney! Grant is my return specialist by a mile. What about kicker and punter?

Amazing that you're talking 19 seasons and that O-line would still not best all that great. Long had a few good years and Pouncy made the pro bowl on name mostly and replacing guys that couldn't go. Not much more than that on that list. That right there is one of the biggest problems with this team for this century. The FO has been horrible at putting together a top O-line for all these years.

You'd be taking our top two pass rushers out of position by doing that and keep on mind neither one of them could cover anyone. Zach Thomas was not big enough to play inside on a 3-4. I understand tho that other than Thomas our LB's have not been great and you probably wanted to get the best 11 on the field but you'd be taking Thomas, Wake and Taylor out of their best spots.

This exercise explains a lot, and painfully.
