I have been paying very close to Ladanian Tomlinson the past couple of weeks and i have come to the realization that he will go down as the most complete back to ever play the game of football. He has tremendous burst through the hole, and relentless power and moves once hes in the open field. His recieving ability is the best i have ever seen from a running back, and to tell you the truth i believe L.T when he said he could make the pro bowl as a reciever. This guy is incredible and holds no comparison to any back in the game today.

I agree that he is one of the most talented backs to ever play the game, however only longevity will determine if he can be considered with the greatest ever.

i completly agree.

the Giants game a few weeks ago, showed just how dominant he can be.

on one play, L.T. didnt run forward at all. he JUMPED left, right, left, and gained 6 yards befor being tackled. it was freakin awsome.

and i really like their backup RB also. so its exciting to watch. and if they start Rivers, they would become my second fav. NFL team. (i live just out side Raleigh, NC.) :)

I agree

LT is the modern day Thurman Thomas.... catches passes, runs tough, but is shifty....

I think LT is better than Thurman was, especially considering Thurman played on better teams.... but they are remarkably similar.....

hell, im willing to start some L.T./Sanders comparisons.

No question, LT is the best back in the league right now, and quite possibly the last 15 years. If his carreer continues on this track he may well be regarded as the best ever. Its a shame, I was saying the same thing about Ricky Williams before he retired; yes, I know he is coming back but his reign as the most dominant back the past four or five years is disregarded in my book. LT is the kind of back that can take over games and drive defensive coordinators into suicidal depressions

your going to tell me youd tke LT over sanders brown payton or smith, to name a few...

No way... I know your joking but I'm not saying they are close (although Thurman years 2-5 look alot like LT years 1-4)

LT still has to keep it up for years.....

Thurman lead the league in all purpose yards for 4 straight year... i believe thats still a record.

right now...well, no... but L.T. has the ability of those player, and can do some great things on the field. and if L.T. can keep up his game for 7 more years, he may be consitered the greatest.

and **** E. Smith. he should not even be mentioned with Payton and Sanders.

No offense, but your 17, your reference level is way to small at this point for your brash proclamation to carry any real weight, yes he is a great back, but where history will rank him is an unknown at this point.

Also this is not Dolphin related and should not be in this forum unless we are playing the Chargers this week.

I was going to say that he remind me of Barry buy you beat me too it, he is as quick as Sanders was but I think L.T. has better hands.
