OK guys im going per Rotoworld FA tracking page:

1. Louis Vazquez (6'5, 335 lbs. 28 years old) Was released by the Broncos, so he wouldn't affect our future comp draft pics. He is valued as a pass blocker, can play RG/RT, and has a connection with Coach Gase. Will be flying today to meet with the Titans.
He is ranked #7 out of 43 interior Lineman in FA.

2. Geoff Schwartz (6'6, 340 lbs. 29 years old) Was also released by Giants so, wouldn't count against comp draft pics. Has dealt with several past injuries, but has been linked to Miami. When healthy he is a tough run blocking RG.
He is ranked #9 out of 43 interior lineman in FA.

3. Jahri Evans (6'4, 318 lbs. 32 years old) released by the Saints after a long career there with 6 pro bowls, 4 first team All Pro as RG. He has been injured quite a bit lately, so not sure how much he has left.
He is ranked #10 out of 43 interior lineman in FA.

4. Evan Mathis (6'5, 301 lbs. 34 years old) We tried to get him last year, but he opted for less money to play with the Broncos, after a long list of injuries he is contemplating retirement, but still probably the best LG left on the FA.
He is ranked #11 out of 43 interior lineman in FA.

5. Zane Beadles (6'4, 315 lbs. 29 years old) Although there are other guards ranked higher I think he is the 2nd best LG available. Plus he has a connection with Gase. His play last season was not great, but still it would be an improvement over our guards. He also would not count against our comp draft pics because he was released by the Jags.
He is ranked #22 out of 43 interior lineman in FA.

Sign both so we can gonlb corner or corner lb in draft

According Mando, they are not going here. It is Bushrod, maybe a draft pick or a newly minted Dallas Thomas after his lifting program. Cannot stand that Thomas keeps getting looks. I can live with Turner giving a shot.

Armando also likes to stir the pot, plus it is smokescreen season . . . Nothing like putting out there that you feel like you have settled your guard situation.

Not even 72 hours into FA, plus you have the draft and June 1st cuts. Bushrod is a swing tackle, but if Gase saw something in him while at Chicago that he feels he wants to look at here . . . Hey, I am not giving Turner or Douglas anything . . . It does not hurt to get a look.

Well, I hope Mando is wrong! We still have some money left, so Unless Gase knows something negative about Vazquez, or Beadles, I hope one of them (hell.... even both of them!!) could be brought in and signed.

Schwartz and beadles would be great

Thomas just can't be the plan. What is he putting on tape that keeps getting him shots? It makes this feel like an extension of the Philbin era.

His tape is god awful . . . The only thing he flashes on occasion is the athletic ability that made him a day 2 pick.

He just has terrible technique, at both guard and tackle and is very weak at the POA, which is just compounded by his bad technique.

But everything I have heard about him suggest he is a hard worker and wants to get better, and that is not a guy you just cut loose without getting an extended look in camp . . . Especially knowing the morons that were in charge of the team previously.

He probably just isn't good enough to play at this level . . . But I cant see the problem in getting a fresh set of eyes on him in camp.

Are there any somewhat expensive guards out there that there teams might be looking to trade for cap relief? I certainly wouldn't mind using late round picks on healthy starters since we have the $ to spend.

I have to believe the FO realizes the importance of obtaining a guard or two. We can't see or hear everything that is happening on the inside and will simply have to trust they have a plan to address our weakest link.
