Q: Who do you think are the Dolphins' best free-agent signings and worst free-agent losses in the team's history?

A: For best free-agent signings, I'd have to give the nod to Brock Marion, Lamar Smith and Keith Jackson (Trace Armstrong was acquired in a trade). For the worst losses, I'd say Troy Vincent, Marco Coleman and Bryan Cox. By the time Richmond Webb left the Dolphins, his level of play had dropped significantly since the days when he was a perennial Pro Bowl selection. ... http://www.sun-sentinel.com/finsinsider
that's a pretty short list, but right on in that we do not have that many great gain or losses via FA

Losing Troy Vincent, Marco Coleman and Bryan Cox all at the same time was a pretty big hit. Vincent is far and away our biggest FA loss. Marion is probably equally far and away, our biggest pick-up. Suprisingly little overall affect in free-agency though.

This was before free agency as we know it today, but the loss of Csonka, Warfield and Kiick has to be the biggest loss the Fins ever experienced.
