Hello everyone
Usually I follow college football pretty closely and watch a good bit. This year things did not go as I planned and I saw very little, and I am really clueless about this year's draft class. I was wondering if we could do something with this thread. It might help others as well.
I'd love for posters to throw out a few names of college players that you see as attainable at our current spot in the 1st round and lower and are: a)a good fit for what we do and b)fill our needs. Please give the player's name, position and school, and what round you project him to be picked in. I am not looking for this thread to turn into a mock draft/prediction of who'll we'll take, more an informative type of thing, such as "player X, OL, College X, 3rd Round" is a great fit for the Dolphins because ...... This would then help create a good list of potential candidates, and for those of us who are just trying to figure out where to start studying, it would be a great springboard.
Thank you to all those who contribute.
Best wishes.

Hey Bopkin02 just a heads up you will get alot of different answers based on peoples different views and opinions. An example, some might think one player will be available by the time we pick Im gonna give you some of my ideas of who could be available by the time our pick comes around. of course im keeping in mind we dont make any trades..

Round 1

Zach Martin T/G Notre Dame
Eric Ebron TE North Carolina
Calvin Pryor FS Louisville
HaHa Clinton Dix FS Alabama
Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh

Round 2

Stanley Jean Baptiste CB Nebraska
Bishop Sankey RB Washington
Xavier Su'a Filo OG UCLA
Deone Bucannon S Washington State
Gabe Jackson OG Mississippi State
Lamarcus Joyner CB/FS FSU

Round 3

DaQuan Jones DT PSU
Keith McGill CB Utah
Carlos Hyde RB OSU
JaWuan James RT TENNESSEE
Anthony Johnson DT LSU
Telvin Smith OLB FSU
Billy Turner LT North Dakota State
Anthony Steen G/C Alabama
E.J Gaines CB Missouri

Heres my mini mock draft (1st 3 rounds)

2) Bishop Sankey RB
3) DaQuan Jones DT

Bopkin, ask me about the player your interested in and i can try my hardest to give you the best explanation as to why i think they are perfect fits... for example:

RB Bishop Sankey- tough durable in between the tackles runner who proven himself in a west coast offense just like ours.

OG Xavier Su'a Filo- experienced never missed a game Guard who excels in the ZONE BLOCKING SCHEME. has quick feet and is strongest in 2nd level pulling.

OLB telvin smith- elite speed and has shown he can play any LB posistion in the 4-3 defense. has what we have been lacking, a playmaking FAST lb who can chase RB and knockdown TE's

Hey,
Yes, I do check out the Draft Forum and I will continue to. I was just hoping to get a bit of a consolidated list of what people thought would be likely possibilities for us.
Thanks for the input!

I would love to, but that's my problem this year. I just have no idea about anyone. I have been so caught up with other issues, but I want to at least have a clue come draft day. I am curious about guards and tackles though, who are our best options for a good fit in rounds 1-3.

It's a good list, but the guys I have listed don't fit. Jean Baptiste is a press man corner and I'm pretty sure McGill is too. At 330+ Jackson wouldn't be an ideal fit for the ZBS, even with decent feet.
