Hey Dolfans!

Being from England, I have never had the chance to go to a live football game, so my question to you is which stadium is the best to go and watch a live football game. It can be the best atmosphere or best fans or best layout and why?

College?

NFL?

Cheers Teenwoolf

Ford Field in Detroit is a really nice stadium, and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa is really nice too.

Unlike baseball, it seems to me that football stadiums are all pretty much the same. Sure, newer ones tend to have nicer amenities. It just seems to me that everything blends in and it's really about the game action.

FedEx Field might be a good choice. The Redskins fill the place up pretty nicely and have a pretty new field.

I would say if you want a unique NFL experiance this year go see the Cardinals/49ers game in New Mexico! That will be wild 100,000 people all stupid excited about the game. The two teams arent that fun to watch(although there getting better!) but that will be interesting.

Come check out the horseshoe in Columbus....ecspecially the night game vs Texas this year or ANY Michigan game!! The folks here in Miami can hear the shoe rockin!!!

Ford Field immidiatley popped into my head as well. Though i've never been there, i'd imagine with the nice new looking stadium. The Dome, and Lion fans not known as being real rough i'd bet that's probably a nice place to watch a game.

In the NFL for the best atmosphere I would say Lambeau. In college perhaps the Big House. I forgot the name of where Notre Dame plays but I would imagine that would has to be a great field. For me football is cold weather and snow, and I believe college stadiums have a more "pure" football atmosphere. For tailgating, the Ralph in Buffalo gets pretty crazy, but Phin fans probably hate the place. When I go to games, it's more about the tailgating, and how the people are. I'm sure if you where a Dolphin jersey to an opposing team stadium you'll get messed with, but in Buffalo, most of the fans are alright, but there are always a few drunks who try to ruin the experience, but i'm sure every stadium has it. I hate the Red Sox and Yankees, but I would have to say that they've probably got the best atmosphere in all of sports, i've never seen the Cardinals play in St. Louis, so maybe they've got an arguement. New stadiums got all the new commodities, but I just like old places with history. I'm going to Jacobs field tomorrow for the first time, and I heard when the Indians were one of the AL's elite the place was crazy, so i'll see how it is today.

I've seen the 'Phins play in Miami (at both stadiums), and away in Indy, Buffalo, New York, New England (both stadiums), and Tampa (preseason).

In terms of being close to the action on the field, Buffalo is the best. When you are in the front row, you are less than 10 feet from the players. You can hear what the players and coaches are saying/yelling and you can feel the collisions. The Orange Bowl was the same way. I wish we still played there.

Gillette stadium in New England is a great Stadium, I just have really bad memories from there, as well as Foxboro. But as far as a new, modern (outdoor) stadium with all the latest and greatest, it's a pretty cool place.

I hate New York. Indy sux cuz I hate Domes... even though I am a Syracuse Season Ticket Holder. Football should be played outside. Period.

That said, my least favorite stadium to see a game is Dolphins Stadium. I loooooooove going there every year. I love being surrounded by 'Phins fans (as opposed to the fat, hairy, smelly Bills fans I live with up here - and that's just the Women!!!)... but I hate watching games there. I feel like I'm watching a tennis match. You are too far away from the field, even in the 1st row. The fans are not into the game like they are in other stadiums... I think because of their proximity to the field. It's just a bad stadium... bad setup. You are too far away from the field and the 1st row is too high up.

Don't get me wrong, I'll come down there every year at least once or twice for games as long as I'm still living, but if I had to rate stadiums I'd have to put Dolphins Stadium at the bottom of the list. I miss the Orange Bowl.

Wanna know what I think? OK, I'll tell you. I think since we have to put up with the Marlins infield dirt, they should have to put up with marks on their field from the removable rows of seats that get wheeled in for Dolphins games. I think for Football, they should have another 10 - 15 rows of seats that they put in place around the stadium to get the fans closer to the action. They do this in Syracuse for basketball. The put a curtain up on the 50 yd. line of the football field, cutting the stadium in half. Then they wheel in seats all around the Basketball court to get people closer to the action. This should be done at Dolphins Stadium for football.

It's good business too. Think about how much loot H. Wayne could make off of 15 rows of premium seating all the way around the stadium. Whaddya think about that?

Anyway, I kind of got off on a rant there, but that's my 2 cents.

manchester united

seriously watch some lsu games. the place where saban coached before he came to the dolphins. death valley is ultimate in college atmosphere

I'm a HUGE Dolphins Fan, and my first inclination is to say "Dolphins Stadium."

However, my close 2nd choice would be "LSU's TIGER STADIUM." You'll never hear a louder stadium. I promise. It's NUTS.

If you ever have the chance, Tiger fan or not, you gotta make it down here. LSU is the shiznit. Our stadium will rock your socks off.

If you go here to this page: http://www.seats3d.com/nfl/miami_dolphins/

you will see that there is more than enough room to pull off my idea from m last post.

Also, this new interactive 3d guide for Dolphins Stadium is sweet, so if you haven't been to the new site (it's been changed from proplayerstadium.com and is MUCH better) then you should definitely check it out.

Yeah, you obviously know what I'm talking about.

Hey, ricky know's what's up. You guys gotta wear some purple and gold, and make it down for a kick-a$$, knock you out, drag-it-out-football game at LSU's Tiger Stadium.

Auburn, and Ole-Miss fans, beware, you might be in danger. We party hardy down in the Bayou.

L-S-U BABY! :lol::lol::lol:

new mexico???? i think you mean mexico, and i don't like you calling people stupid, because even if the 49ers and the cardinals aren't that good of a team, it is still a show that we barely get to see

yes!!!, i went to the peach bowl in atlanta w/ lsu and clemson. lsu fans got a quarter of the seats. we sat right behind the band and rocked the joint. i got called charlie manson in the bathroom for having long hair and a beard but the guy said that would help us win and it did. something special about nighttime at an lsu game. go tigers!!!!
