Best Hotel near stadium?

When we made the trip, we stayed at Margaritaville in Hollywood. It is a little pricey but it is right on the beach and catching an Uber to the game is simple. One word of advice, avoid the restaurant across the street that advertises the best burger - they were terrible.

I come in from Atlanta for the games and usually stay in boutique hotels in Ft Lauderdale…..much easier trip than staying in Miami for the game.
I like Pillars Hotel only a block walk from the strip at Ft Lauderdale beach. If you like a bit cheaper, May-Dee Suites….old school art deco but well maintained.

I stayed in an apartment in West Palm Beach. On game days I got on a charter bus at Duffy's Pub in West Palm Beach and we rode for about an hour southbound to the stadium. We parked our bus inside the stadium grounds in a special tour bus area. We arrived early and the charter package included a burger/hotdog buffet. We also had time to look around and shop before the game. After the game, we returned to our parked bus and were returned to Duffy's Pub in West Palm Beach. Charter buses are available all over the area and were very reasonable. It eliminated driving, parking, and traffic. The Dolphins organization provides the shuttle service. I made my arrangements with them before the season started.

I'm planning my first trip to a Dolphins game.
Sometime in September or October. What is the best hotel to stay at?
Also how far is it from the airport and stadium?
Thank you in advance. Maybe I'll see a few of ya down there.
I used to stay at the Renaissance in Plantation (West Lauderdale). It's about 20 minutes to the stadium and 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Airport. I stayed there because it was the team hotel, and the team stayed there every Saturday night before a home game, plus most of the rookies lived there until they found permanent housing. Back then, they weren't allowed to stay at home, they were required to stay at the hotel. I'm not sure if they still do that. Over the years, I met a ton of players.
