Not sure he's the best, but I like the way Jeno James plays.

He'll kill himself just to make sure he blocks his man, and he's got a great attitude during the game.

With another year under his belt and his versatlity I think Rex Hadnot will be our best o-lineman along with Vernon Carey who is going to surprise some people in my gut-feeling opinion.

If Mike Pearson is healthy and plays the way he played his first two years and with Houck's help I think he'll be the best. Also Carey should progress to be our best Olineman considering he was drafted in the 1st(Although he was a Wanny pick).

I think Jeno James has the most raw talent and performed extremely well in the past, but I thought Hadnot was our best O-lineman last year, and I think with a ull training camp at center, could very well be our best O-lineman this year.

Actually he was a Spielman pick...:D

It's certainly between James and Hadnot.

Hadnot had too many penalties to be considered the best on the line.

The best is absolutely clear. It's Jeno. The only guy not to get shifted around on this O-Line.

I agree that the best IS absolutely clear, but that best OL is Rex Hadnot...penalties and all. LJ Shelton was mediocre in Cleveland in 2005. Vernon Carey is a less than mediocre RT because he does not run block well. Seth McKinney actually did ok, but isn't the best. Jeno James is solid, but not being moved is not the vote of confidence you seem to assume it is, because Hadnot's being moved from guard to center and back again is actually a compliment. They are literally trying to figure out which position they can put their best OL in order to have the biggest impact. It is a very tough call, because he's a great people mover as a guard, but could also be a great signal caller as a center.

Figuring out our best o-lineman is like searching for the world's tallest midget. HH did a good job with the group last year and he'll have more talent to work with this year. Also, the defense will have to respect the run and the pass so hopefully that will make things easier on the line.

Good point, however I still think James has been the best for us the past two years.

The only reason he's getting the move is because they have less then no one at center and they aren't even committed to it yet. You can't be the best when your a penalty machine. He 'might' play good at center but that's dealing with a lot of 'if's' and 'potential'. Jeno 'is' the best player on that line right now. I like Hadnot but he's just not there yet.

I think you can't have a "best" O-lineman. They play together as a cohesive group and need to be a team rather than one "best".

Tough question!

I'd say L.J. Shelton and Vernon Carey have the most potential. Shelton has been good, but they say he could be great if he set his mind to it. Carey needs to start performing like a #1 pick. He's been too inconsistent. Damion McIntosh has reallybeen in my doghouse (not that he cares...lol). He did progress later in the year last year, but his concentration was awful at times the last two years. He's strong and a mauler, so maybe right tackle is a better fit for him.

Jeno James is a little limited athletically, but is tenacious and works hard. The same for Rex Hadnot. I just love Hadnot. I really hope he wins the starting center position. It seems that ever since Tim Ruddy started for us, we've had undersized centers that have struggled against big nose tackles. Rex should be able to hold his own against them. I just don't care for Seth McKinney (not that he cares either). It just seems that he can never generate any push. Let's just say that McKinney isn't my favorite Dolphins offensive lineman. I think Bennie Anderson could be a good player once again if he could lose about 20 pounds. He played on a porous offensive line in Buffalo, so it's tough to judge him on last year's performance. He played well in Baltimore and helped Jamal Lewis rush for over 2,000 yards a few years ago.

As for the backups, we have a bunch of talented but raw enigmas that I don't know too much about. Anthony Alabi, Joe Toledo, Joe Berger and Wade Smith (he played out of position at LT under Wanny and Wise, so I call him raw at center).

This is what I believe the 2006 Dolphins offensive line will look like barring injuries:

LT - L.J. Shelton
LG - Jeno James
C - Rex Hadnot
RG - Bennie Anderson
RT - Vernon Carey

So as for my favorite Dolphins offensive lineman...jeeesh...it would be between Jeno James and Rex Hadnot. Close call but I have to go with Jeno James.
