Assuming Philbin stays, a lot of people agree we still will need a different offensive coordinator. Does anybody have any suggestions for a coordinator who can run Philbin's "up-tempo" offense better than Sherman? Ideally we could find somebody who shares the same vision as Philbin, to avoid another major "rebuild" on the offensive side.

I'd like to see some fresh ideas come in. Someone like Philip Montgomery from Baylor. From a pro perspective I'd take a hard look at Kubiak and Kyle Shanahan.

Joe Philbin was a pretty good offensive coordinator. Lets hope he finds a lucrative position in this capacity somewhere else.

I had to look into Philip Montgomery a little bit. I didn't realize his offense put up 70 points per game; that's ridiculous!! They do have a decent article on him on espn

I would also mention Scott Frost at Oregon but I need to see more from him. Mike Gundy at OkSt would be a nice choice too. The key here is all three are QB guys who get yards in big chunks by finding mismatches.

One other guy who would be terrific (IMHO) is Mike Riley of OrSt.
