Enjoy your sad Halloween trolls. I know it breaks your heart that the Dolphins won! Now this place will be enjoyable for a week and a half.

I'm so happy for the players, as they played their hearts out tonight and went punch for punch with a good Cincinnati team. Sadly, some of the intellectually challenged here will see this as some sort of vindication for Jeff Ireland.

Nope, best part of a win tonight was the win.

Cam Wake is the man.

Exactly.. Even though Sherman needs a little imagination, the criticism of philbin wasn't fair.. Wonder If all those "fans" will now come back

Because since he's our GM at least until next year,m if Ireland is right on his decisions will actually benefit the Dolphins. and intellectually challenged as in how? For the off-season he had? The 3-0 start? or I get it when things get difficult everything is always on him..

Now let's go up into Tallahassee and whip some Semihole butt! That would really make my weekend.

Im right there with you. I had to leave the general forum and chat last night because multiple people seemed to be cheering more for their friggin fantasy players on the Bengals over a Dolphins win. If I wanted to hear people cheer on Andy Dalton Id go to a Bengals website. If I wanted to hear how we suck and have zero chance to win Id go to any of the 31 other websites on that gameday. There is a difference in being disappointed about a player, a decision, or whatever and actually hoping the other team does well against yours.

Im glad we have this win, Im glad we have the Bucs next and a West Coast team coming to us after that. Maybe another string of wins can shut some people up.

How can you say the criticism wasn't fair after the disaster against Buffalo? The criticisms of Philbin and Ireland are not only fair, they're warranted. Last night was no doubt a great win and a much needed step in the right direction, but perhaps it raises more questions than it answers and still leaves some old questions unanswered. If the team is capable of the level of play we saw last night on short rest, why have the 4 previous games been a combination of poor play, lackluster effort, and, in the case of the Buffalo game, a visible lack of preparedness? We were up 17-3 at one point last night. Why are we so piss poor at protecting a lead? Last night, the defense showed that it can be dominant at times, yet I know many of us cringe every time it's third and long because we can't seem to figure out how to stop an opposing offense from getting 18 yards when we know they're going to pass? I think it was fortunate for us that Bernard came out of the game with an injury because up until that point, we couldn't figure out how to stop him. I'm not sure we win that game if he didn't get hurt.

Hopefully, the next five weeks will provide us with some kind of validation that this team has turned a corner. If we play like last night, we should dominate a weak Tampa team. Following that, San Diego and Carolina are both beatable, as are the Jets and the Steelers.. We really should win at least 4 of those games if we're the team that showed up last night. Short of that, we're still plagued with the kind of inconsistency that allowed up to drop 4 straight after starting off 3-0.

Again, great win last night but until we see some ability to consistently play at a high level, the win doesn't erase the stain of dropping 4 straight, and especially the post-bye loss to Buffalo.

Ireland is the guy ultimately responsible for the end result. If we have another disappointing season, that will be five disappointing seasons in a row since he took over. His only job is to make this team better. Until we see that reflected in the "wins" column, Ireland is failing to do that. It's really that simple. I don't know of any other measure to assess the effectiveness of a GM.
