best part of the monday night game

dolphins fan since i was 7 in '83

got spoiled with marino and watching him light up the scoreboard. post-marino, i got used to another feeling.......the feeling that once our team scored i had to wait one, two, three series before they could score again. i got used to 3 and outs. i got used to turnovers at the absolute worst moments of a critical game. i got used to losing. so call me crazy but every time the jets scored i pretty much felt in my heart, that's it...game over...dolphins cannot score touchdowns back to back when needed....... and then they did! but the jets score again!!!!! ok, now i know there's NO way the dolphins can score again......and they did!! on a long bomb of 50 yards! but then the jets score again!!!! now.....with 5 minutes to go.... there isn't a chance my fins can score again. there's no way they can overcome this 3rd and long with a pass play. there's no way he won't fumble here. there's no way he won't throw a pick 6. alas, the dolphins score again.......and completely turn my world on its head. these are NOT the dolphins i got used to watching these roughly past 15 years. FIFTEEN YEARS NOW WITHOUT MARINO!!

i really hope monday night was a corner we've finally turned as a team.

I feel ya man. I for one was 7 the year Marino retired so I've always been used to losing and having the Fins rip my heart out late in games. This was an incredible breath of fresh air

I waited till the clock was 0:00,,,,, AS being a Dolphin fan you KNOW everything and ANYthing can Happen against us ...BUt when its was Final .>OMG.......Feelings cant explain.....
 
I agree, but didnt Dan retire after the 1999 season?? That would be 10 years without Danny Boy.
 
I agree with the above as well fully...but really what stood out to me and something we can't really say has been our strong point since Danny was our clock management throughout that whole 2nd half..it was nothing less than PERFECT!!...yeah Teddy's catch, Ricky's run, Ronnie's runs...heck playwise yeah was great but the clock management without a doubt is what won us that game ultimately...am I wrong??
 
The 1st TD

I know what you're feeling. On the 1st TD when they had a 1st and goal from the 5 and ran 3 straight plays up the gut and smashed it into the endzone I was in shock.I haven't seen that since the days of Csonka.
