Who knows who will rise & fall but my order of choices at the moment would be:

1. Manny Lawson - LB :dolphins:

2. trade down if reasonable offer
3. Antonio Cromartie - CB
4. Bobby Carpenter - LB
5. Chad Greenway - LB
6. Marcus McNeil - OT
7. Nick Mangold - C
8. any DL Saban thinks is best.

I think that is a reach for all of the above except Greenway and maybe Comartie.

and then some would think Cromartie because of his knee and Greenway because of his lack of upper body strength are reaches, but i hear ya.

IMO Greenway is a reach at 16.

Greenway is going to have trouble in the NFL.
Had shown trouble fighting out of traffic
Combine spotlighted horrible upper body strength and pretty poor speed to boot.
You can overcome some of those shortcomings by pure aggression in the college game but it'll be a lot harder in the NFL.

I'm hoping for Lawson, Cromartie or a trade down.
I don't see a trade down being very likely though.

Santonio Holmes.

I haven't seen this guy play at all but from some of the writeups I've seen on him I'd be intrigued by him as well.

You can add Williams, Youbooty and Whitner to that list (all DBs).

I'd add Jason Allen to that list. In my opinion, it's 50/50 between Allen and Lawson at #16

i would but i don't trust them enough to improve the team as much at their positions this year as i do the ones i put in the list.

as for WR's, how many times will a rookie get the ball thrown to him with Chambers, McMichaels, RBrown & RWilliams on the field compared to the impact a Lawson or Carpenter could make on defense?

I think Santonio Holmes has the potential to be a gamebreaker, in the mold of Steve Smith.

I think he's going to be something real special.

Its Youboty, and I disagree. Thats a reach at 16.

My top 5 choices:

1. Trade down
2. Holmes/Jackson
3. Cromartie
4. Whitner
5. Carpenter or Lawson (higher priority if we don't get Arrington)

We need another quality WR, period. If for nothing else depth. After Chambers and Booker the talent level drops off considerably. We're one injury away from a seriously depleted WR corps. Plus Booker's contract is up after next year I believe.

as of today my realistic wish list in order.

Considering we don't trade down.

Justice (low chance of sliping to us but, possible)
Ngata (Might slip)
Wimbley
Whitner
Lawson
Holmes
Jackson
Allen
Carpenter
Mangold

EDIT: Just found out about Allen's injury. Strike him off the list.
