Anyone have a list of free agent recievers next year. We need a gamebreaking Primetime reciever like Steve Smith.

I dont think Javon Walker is signed long term with Denver, though i'm not sure on that one. Other than that i dont really know. But it's clear Chris Chambers is not our game breaking reciever, his effort again of ZERO catches through three quarters against one of the worst secondaries in football shows that.

He wasnt even double teamed often!!! He couldnt escape the tight coverage. He never does. Im getting rid of my chambers avatar.

Yeah well it's amazing how a few great circus catches can make one into an "elite reciever".

He does make the best catches but not good enough. Did you see how Sammy Morris looked in the open field? I havent seen a play like that since Ricky was here.

I don't know who'll be available in free agency, but I can see us drafting Calvin Johnson, trading Booker away to replace the 5th round pick we'll lose on Harrington, and having Johnson and Chambers compete for the #1 WR position.

How about traden CC and keepen Booker hes a Vet and we need some1 to take care of the young Wr's we have.

He has been more productive in his career so I would have to agree with that.

wouldn't be much of a competition....johnson is a LOT better than chambers.

Calvin Johnson was held without a catch this past weekend by Clemson. He is also a junior an may not come out this year.

I think the WRs we have are plenty... it all depends on the QB play..... Steve Smith can't light it up without the Qb getting him the ball.

Right now, if the season continues to go down the toilet, it looks like we might have a chance at getting some really good players in the 1st round ... top 5 guys maybe. I think we definitely need to get either a stud offensive lineman, cornerback, or wide receiver ... maybe an outside linebacker.

Believe it or not, the fairly well respected draft prospect company, Scouts, Inc. has a stud offensive lineman as their #1 overall guy ... Joe Thomas from Wisconsin. I think it should be Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech. He might be one of the best receivers to come along in years. It looks like there's a pretty good cornerback in there also, Leon Hall from Michigan. Another lineman people have said could be good is USC's Sam Baker.

Unfortunately, it's ALREADY that time of year to start thinking about the draft. The fans ought to start thinking about emailing Miami reporters about top prospects and all that. Fans should be on the lookout for "diamonds in the rough" for the lower rounds. We need to be watching the prospects play in college the rest of the season ... a little scouting by the fans. Couldn't hurt. These days, we need to get all the "primetime players" we can get on this team to win games in the ultracompetitive NFL.

Donte Stallworth isa free agent at the end of the year, he would be a great compliment to Chambers. He would be the young speedy reciever weve been looking for
