Saban, on whether a quarterback needs to be a leader: "We are not looking for sheep, we are looking for wolves. And if we need a sheep dog to get them lined up and hurried to go, then maybe we have some of the wrong guys."


That is by far the best quote I have ever seen from a head coach in any sport in all of my life. THIS GUY RULES! Can we give him a contract extension now!

Gives me chills thinking that Nick is going to make that attitude be ingrained into this football team.

If he gets this attitude into the young guys who hopefully will be here years to come (Channing, Roth, Daniels, Ronnie....etc) then this franchise is on the fast track to success.

And over time this year if the Vets don't buy into his system or beliefs, well then those Vets won't be around here too long.

Saban way or the high way.
 
Saban is a great coach, and an intense guy, but who hasn't heard every "pump you up" quote from there coaches in HS and college?

"When you stick the knife in, make sure you twist it"

Is there going to be a thread for every played out cliche Saban uses?

I don't like it, I'm going to change it, it could be offensive to handicapped people, and thats not right.
 
That is a great quote... but's lets see the team perform before we start talkin about extensions, shall we?
