im really hoping good things from all those guys. i really want to see poole get back on the field healthy. poole allen daniels and mitchell...man that could be a DB backfield.

Poole... he should be 100% by now. He was almost ready around the time at the end of the PUP list like in Oct/Nov or whenever that was. He will make a strong push for a starting position...

i actually think all 5 could be good players for us in the long run...im glad we got them

I really don't consider Poole a sleeper because he played well before his injury. But out of this group I'll think he'll make the biggest impact.

Man I hope Mitchell and Poole can blow the top off the roof.

That is what I was thinking.. as for a more unexpected sleeper, Id have to go with Vickerson. After recovering and a little more experience, I expect him to build on the talent that the team veterans were talking about early last year.

Just remember we drafted this yr draft last yr

Manny Wright ..........our pick for this yr......thats the sleeper....he learned from Carter and Taylor......you watch him in camp.....he will be a monster....Vickerson too......Roth.....better wake up or he will be gone...

IDK our sleeper on D the past two years has been D-Bowens.

He gets sacks whenever he gets the opportunity to play and this year should be no different.

On Offense I like marty Booker. He had a solid season last year despite injuries and being the third option in our offense. I think defenses will make sure that chambers is covered well and Booker has alot of oppotunities to show what he can do.

Fred Gibson has been a player to watch since his freshman season, when he caught 33 balls for 772 yards, and 6 touchdowns. He had continued success as a sophomore, hauling in 43 passes for 758 yards, and 4 touchdowns. Gibson’s numbers dipped some as a junior, with 36 catches for 553 yards and 3 touchdowns. As a senior he once again proved to be a big time performer, setting career highs across the board with 49 catches for 801 yards and 7 touchdowns. His 161 career receptions rank third in UGA’s history, and his 20 receiving TD’s rank second. During his career, Gibson also averaged almost 25 yards per kick return, including one for a touchdown. Gibson doubled as a basketball player for Georgia, playing with the team as a freshman and sophomore. Gibson is a very talented wide receiver. He has great height, and can really go up and get the ball. He has good speed and can get himself deep, and can take it the distance if given room. He is also a fantastic athlete, as displayed by his ability to play D1 basketball for the Bulldogs.
Gibson could stand to pack on a few pounds. He has a thin build, and is not very physical on the field. He also needs a lot of development. Gibson relies too much on his natural ability. He does not run sharp routes and doesn’t always use his hands to catch the ball. He uses his body too often to catch the ball. Gibson also could put forth more effort on the field. He does not always give 100%, and doesn’t dominate the way his physical ability suggests he can.
Fred Gibson has a lot of upside. Gibson has a lot of Randy Moss in him. From his build, to his style of play, and even taking plays off, he is similar. He is more of a poor man’s Moss, as he isn’t as talented or advanced as Moss in any regard. Gibson looks like a solid second rounder at this point, but could move up with a good workout circuit.

steelers_100-1.gif
BIO: Three-year starter who saw limited action with the first team as a freshman. All-Conference selection last year after posting 49/801/7. Has 10 100-yard career receiving games to his credit.

POSITIVES: Fluid pass catcher with excellent size/speed numbers. Solid route runner who is sharp into breaks and stays low on exit. Extends to snatch the ball from the air, quickly transitions to running after the catch and displays a burst of speed. Easily adjusts to the errant throw or gets down to scoop up the low pass. Deceptively fast and runs to the deep ball. Tracks the pass in the air, runs well laterally and shields opponents away with his frame. Nicely times receptions getting vertical to high point the ball. Possesses soft, sure hands.

NEGATIVES: Does not win out in battles like he should or hears footsteps then gathers into receptions. More built-up speed than sudden explosion. Loses focus, concentration and as a result drops a lot of catchable throws.

ANALYSIS: An athletic prospect with an abundant amount of natural ability, Gibson shows flashes of dominance on the field, yet has been spotty with his dedication to football. Possesses first-round skill and the ability to develop into a No. 1 receiver at the next level, yet must motivate himself and prove that he is willing to pay the price.

PROJECTION: Late Third Round

3.74 to 3.45 -- Future Starter -- A good athlete that must learn to be a football player or someone who is an “overachiever”. Quality prospect with long term potential
