There is alot of speculation going around about Chad Johnson/Dallas draft picks and in the past we have had some bone head trades i.e. Culpepper/Feely/L.Gordon/R.Williams but my question is this what is the best trade the Dolphins have ever made whether it was for picks or a player?????

Don Shula from the Colts for a 1st rounder (although I don't think it was offically a trade)

1969 CB Mack Lamb to San Diego for G Larry Little
1970 1st round pick in 1970 to Cleveland for WR Paul Warfield
1991 WR Randal Hill to Phoenix for 1st (seventh overall) round pick in 1992 (Troy Vincent pick)

Are a few that stand out

shula has to be the best. I relucant to say another trade the dolphins did. I mean at first the ricky williams trade looked like a good one but then he decided smokin herb and goin to India was a better decision but then he realized u need money to buy weed and travel so he came back. I dont blame him smokin and chillin in different countries sounds gravy to me but not when ur making multi millions playing a kids game. I dont know what it is but this organization has had really no luck with trades or draft picks as of late. Every time a trade rumor comes around or when the our draft position comes or when we bring in free agents I get a bit nervous. This organization has been run by literally retards since the Shula era ended. Hopefully the tuna and irland and sparano can changes the losing ways of this team, but like as of late I'm not holding my breath. I'm not saying we have no hope I'm just trying not to set myself up for dissappointment like always.

Can we please freakin have a winning season for once cuz I'm tired of drinking myself into a coma everytime I watch a game to try and forget what happened in the game.

You hit on some of the best for sure, Trace Armstrong was another good one (for a 3rd I think?)

Still think JJ was stupid for letting Vincent go.

Where does TWO first round picks for Ricky Williams rank in the Top 5?

2nd for Culpepper? 32nd overall for AJ Feeley?

Nothing like getting HOFer in a trade ...

Nick Buoniconti was traded by the Patriots to the Dolphins for quarterback Kim Hammond, linebacker John Bramlett, and a fifth-round draft pick in 1970. The Pats drafted Bob Olson, a linebacker who didn't make the team.

Paul Warfield. He was probably the best receiver of his time and a big reason Miami was able to run the ball so effectively (teams couldn't cheat up or he would burn them). I can't imagine Miami winning the super bowl without him.

Patrick Surtain at number 44 (second round) in the 1998 draft for our first round pick in the 2000 draft (2 seasons later) wasn't bad.
