I still can't believe that we got Akin and Fasano for the same 4th rounder we got for Lorenzo Booker from the Eagles.

Any Eagles fans around here?

Was he even active for them last week?
(Is he still signed by them?)...

Ayodele and Fasano for a 4th round pick was an absolute gold mine. By far the best trade value wise this new regime has made.

The fourth round pick we traded though was not the one we got from Philly for Booker. We traded OUR fourth round pick the Friday night before the draft for Ayodele and Fasano. Late Saturday night we sent Booker to the Eagles for their fourth round pick. We then took that fourth round pick and our seventh round pick and sent it to Chicago to move up 5 spots in round four. With that pick we selected Shawn Murphy.

So basically it was Lorenzo Booker and a 7th round pick for Shawn Murphy. The jury is still out on that trade.

Another trade that Miami really made out good one was the Jason Ferguson trade. We sent our 6th round pick in 08' and our 6th round pick in 09' to Dallas in exchange for Ferguson and their 6th round pick in 08'. We drafted Donald Thomas(who was looking great before his injury) with that 6th round pick and we got a nice option at NT this year. Here is the really great part of that trade: Dallas with the 2008 6th round pick we sent them drafted Erik Walden. Where have you heard that name before? He is currently a member of the Dolphins and played on special teams at the end of the year. So we really ended up getting our 6th round pick back from last year. So the trade really just cost us a 2009 6th round pick.

The greatest trade by us was when BP traded B.Farve to NYJ's and made them cut Pennington to start for us!!!!!!

That BP works in some mysterious ways!!!!!! Scarey isn't it?

I really like Fasano, and ayodele is awesome as well. I also think we got good value for jason taylor, so that was a good trade.

Ya that was a solid trade, Fasano has been pretty good since he got here, and ayodele I thought got better as the season moved on.

The funny thing with Booker is he is fantastic . . . .until they put pads on. You should have heard the Eagles fans around here, they were laughing at us saying what a great trade that was for them in July. They feel differently now.

agreed, both good trades

was booker a 3rd round pick? or later.

It doesnt matter now seeing as what we got for the pick, just curious

yea unloading Jason Taylor for a 2nd proved to be a great trade (though that doesn't mean he would have got hurt if he stayed here)

MAdolfan: who's the babe in the pic in your signature?? Her name is cut off!

I remember seeing Booker play for the Eagles in the preseason & early in the season, but I don't remember seeing him in any of the eagles games I've seen in the 2nd half of the season.

I read they were very high on him too at first, but now they play that other guy all the time as their change of pace RB.

I thought he might be on IR or maybe he was cut already.

Nice breakdown on the Ferguson trade. I never knew Erik Walden is who Dallas drafted with that pick. So in a nutshell we really, really robbed the Cowboys in trades. Well done Bill and Jeff.

On a side note, it feels nice to be on the good side of a trade for a change.

Yea I was thinking the same thing the other day. Where is Spielman at now? Im sure he has some draft picks hes willing to throw away. Lets rob the Vikings!

I think he's in Minnesota.

The 4th for Ayodele/Fasano was my favorite trade of the offseason. What a coup.
