There are soooo many in the national and local media, web sites, etc who offer analysis, opinion, and info on our Dolphins. Some are VG in general or on specific categories. while you have to wonder if some others ever watched a Phins game.

For example, I like Pollian front office moves and info, Kimbo (former Phin Kim Bokamper) from CBS local in general along with pre and post game analysis, and Barry Jackson for factual info, to name a few.

Who are your best and worst?

I love Peter King. He's intelligent, articulate and fair. Omar Kelly is a total @sshat. Merrill Hodge HATES the Dolphins as does Jaworski. I like Chris Mortensen too.

We're the only team in the AFCE that isn't either in NY or in the megalopolis of NYC. Most of the media is in NYC and are Jets fans. Until we consistently win and win big it's hard for the Phins to get any love from the media.

Also, have to give Albert and Daytona a shout out for getting info to the forum before the media knows they released it. :)

winning fix all of these. We just have not been winning. Last 12year. It is what it is

The #1 undisputed jackass of Fins reporting really goes without saying. When you have a massive thread on the team's biggest fan forum dedicated to seeing your ass fired and permanently removed from all team related media, you take the cake.

Partially. Though look at HOW MUCH coverage the Jets get. I mean loads of it. Miami's rarely referenced. Watch NFLN as training camps open, you'll see the main talking points:

Brady. Anything Brady. He took two poops today, had some eggs, was seen buying things. What can it mean? Stay tuned. We'll have around the clock coverage.

Jets QB selection. It's Geno. It's decided. Lets go to Jets camp every other break to discuss it. Lets talk about it inside and out.

Rex Ryan as Bills coach. Absolutely anything and everything he does.

Miami will rarely be a topic. They may speak on Suh a little but that'll be it.

Just for fun I did a quick just google news search for the past year to get results. Figured I would share. Now that's for articles that had the exact term "Miami Dolphins" or "New England Patriots" so if they didn't use them all in a sequence like that wouldn't find the article.

Miami Dolphins - About 1,530,000 results

Buffalo Bills - About 927,000 results

New England Patriots - About 2,250,000 results

New York Jets - About 657,000 results

I am sure a good chunk the patriot articles are deflategate related.

No thanks. Save yourself the agony and steer clear of the crap that NFLN (barring maybe their first 6 months) has become and the pile of **** that is BSPN and SoapOperaCenter.

When an analyst tightens their focus to one team, it's usually a bad sign imo. That being said, John Congemi is smart. And Barry Jackson has the best publicly available info you're gonna find.

IMO the best football analysts out there are guys like Greg Cosell, Cian Fahey, Chris B. Brown, Sam Monson/Khaled Elsayed (pff generally), Ben Fennell, Greg Peshek (who used to post here), Matt Miller, Shane Hallam, the "NFL Philosophy" twitter account, KC Joyner (though he's fallen off in recent years) and Matt Bowen. You want analysis? Those are your guys. They'll help teach you how to better analyze your own team.

I like Peter King a lot, but he's a storyteller, not an analyst. Having read MMQB for years it's very obvious he doesn't even particularly like doing analysis of the "power rankings" and "draft grades" variety. It's not his forte and he knows it. He just does it because it's expected of him.

One guy who bridges the gap somewhat between the "writers" and the "analysts" is Greg Bedard. He has a distinct New England Patriots focus but when he's not writing about the Pats he can be quite good. Up and comers like Robert Klemko are much more in the Peter King mold. Unfortunately I think Klemko's focus extends beyond football so I wonder whether he'll really the guy who takes up the reigns once the King is dead.

Nice list, and agree on all. I see/read Congemi, along with Kal and Sam from PFF the most but, it is very seldom any of the above disappoint. I also like Madison when he is talking DB or WR.

Cian Fahey in particular has written some good stuff about the Dolphins lately if that's the only stuff you're interested in.

My go to guys are Twinkle and Stink

Got his new book and it's coming on Friday. :read:

My favs where always Darlington and Volin but alas they are no more.. Congemi and Jackson both do a solid job now.

If you're talking play-by-play guy we have one of the worst in the league in Cefalo. The guy is as dull as a butter knife and mispronounces names or gives the wrong players name altogether after plays. I have been screaming for us to replace him with someone who keeps your interest when listening to the game.
