I may have to go back to the Duper and Clayton days or the Mark Ingram and Irvin Fryer days to find a group of WR this good. When the 2nd WR in the draft can't get on the field not because he isn't ready but because the other WR ahead of him are playing so good that is saying a lot. I've been on the Rishard Matthews bandwagon since late last year. I seen it in him that he could be a solid 3 at least, maybe even a servicable 2. With Cameron in the mix I expect this offense to be a explosive. If we can get the guard situation straight and Tanny more consistent their is no reason we couldn't challenge NE in a shootout. We could be looking at the greatest show on turf.

 You've set the bar wayyy to high man . . . it'll lead to disappointment.

Like Campbell said . . . "that's one". Can't overlook Houston and think about New England game. Gotta get to 3-3 first.

That said, this very well could be the most talented group at WR since those days . . . but I'm not overlooking those McDuffie/Gadsen teams from a production stand point. Those guys were so clutch

Our WRs have potential, but let's not get carried away

- In 1984, Mark Clayton was #3 in receiving yards, and Mark Duper was #6 in receiving yards.

- In 2015 YTD, Rishard Matthews is #27 in receiving yards, and Jarvis Landry is #40 in receiving yards.

Matthews, Landry, Jennings, Stills have all had some measure of success in this league. I made this statement before the season started. Not many teams can say they have 4 wr that have started in at least 1 NFL game or played signifigant minutes. Their are no scrubs or borderline roster maker NFL Wr on this team. Parker on many teams as a rookie would be starting. NE doesn't have 1WR that I think is that much better than Landry, Jennings or Stills.

Unfair comparison. In 1984 Dan Marino was throwing to Clayton and Duper. We'll never know, but I venture a guess that if Dan was throwing to Matthews and Landry, well, you know where this is headed, right? Tannehill is fine, but he's no Marino.

The bigger issue is we upgraded from last year and they are cheaper and younger. I know Tannenbaum has done some head-scratches, but this was a necessary evil.

Look who they had at QB tho and the rules! With Marino now and these rules, I could see Matthews and Landry being in the top 10 too. Maybe not with the likes of crazy WR this year. These past few years have been the best WR that I can recall.

never said they were better, i said I haven't seen any group this good since Duper and Clayton. Those two dudes are maybe a step below hof level so I certaintly wouldn't say these guys are that good but collectivly and indivually their is much potential to be that good.

I agree that this group has the highest potential ceiling of any since Clayton and Duper. Now, we just need to keep getting that potential out of them and involve Parker at some point. 11 more games to go...

You'd also have to add to the fact that both Duper and Clayton were a heck of a lot faster than Matthews and Landry. What was Duper's average yard per catch back then? No one could cover that guy deep...he had 5 yards of separation on everyone...even if Marino under threw him (and yes that did happen) Duper could wait on it and still outrun the CB to the end zone.

I won't compare them to any other cores, but to me, they are the best receiver group I have seen put together in Miami. And honestly, I don't think Parker was even needed. Basically a luxury pick.

Landry, Matthews and Stills compliment each other very well. If we let Matthews go during the offseason I will be pissed off.

Plus they had some guy named Nat Moore. He wasn't too bad .... just sayin.
