Better coach: Wannstedt or Sparano?

2 different coaches.

Wanny's teams tended to start off strong and fade as the season went on, while Tony started off slow and played better as the season went on.

Wanny played everything very simple, while Tony over thought everything.

Both were loved by their players and were conservative.

I'd say Tony was slightly better in that he did make adjustments even if they were way too late at times. Wanny really never made adjustments.
 
a better question would be, which one is less bad?

Amazing........Wannstedt ran both the Bears and the Dolphins organizations into the ground...his mistakes on personel were countless. I have no desire to not only NOT compare Wannstedt and Sparano...I really don't care about mentioning them again.
 
I had my doubts about Sparano long before this season. I don't remember when it was exactly, but what did it for me is when he had the team kneel the ball before halftime instead of going for the score. In the press conference afterwards, he said (paraphrasing) he didn't want to take a chance that they'd throw an INT and that the other team would run it back for a touchdown.

That's not coaching scared. That's coaching like a ......

...please don't get me started on Morono.
 
Wanny never a called a timeout so the opposing team could get there offense on the field and score a td. He never called a timeout to stop the clock on a change of possesion either. He also didn't celebrate field goals like he hit the lottery. Sparano sucked !!!

We tend to forget things the more time passes. Wannstache was TERRIBLE....TERRIBLE! I'm sure I could go bit by bit with you on all the missteps for both coaches. It would take awhile.
 
They both won the divisions in their first year with patchwork. Pornstache did it with Lamar Smith and Jay Fiedler, Sparano did it with smoke and mirrors. Then they both just got progressively worse.

They both sucked. It's like asking "Would you rather eat **** or drink piss?"
 
Wipe your *** with a brass bristle brush or the coarsest sandpaper you can find?

Either way your *** is going to get tore up!
