Which is the better Dline

2000/2001 Dolphins - Taylor, Bowens, Gardener, Armstrong/Mixon

or

2015/2016 - Wake, Suh, Mitchell, Vernon/Jordan

I would give the nod to the 2000/2001 D-line. Bowens and Gardener were a great DT tandem and Taylor and Armstrong were great pass rushers. Mitchell isn't a great DT.

I think I need this season to see what Suh being in the middle does to improve Wake/Vernon before I decide. Right now I'd put the 2000 DLine ahead of them. I do think Suh will end up the best player amongst them all (including JT) . . . but that 2000 Line was no joke.

Nobody ran on us back in 2000/2001, I need to see that out of this group. The current may look stronger if you swap Jordan for Shelby. Shelby's the better player after all.

I agree that Suh will probably end up being the best among them all, but I like Taylor and Armstrong at DE over Wake and Vernon. And Gardener and Bowens were better than Mitchell is. I would love to see another dominant DT next to Suh.

There was a brief period of time when Gardener's mind was right, he and Timbo dominated.

I really can't answer the question because I don't know just how much better Suh will make everyone else and I'm not sure what Wake has left.

It's close. But JT was just as much of a game changer as Suh - think about all the TDs he scored, game altering sacks and strips etc. IMO, JT was every bit of a "generational" player as Suh. So it's a wash on those two so really tough to call.
