My wife is a Dolphan, which make life a whole lot easier. On the other side, my friend married a gal from NY who is a Jets fan. Been to their house when we played the Jets, and you would not believe the battles, yelling, and cursing. LOL

So, is your "better half" a Dolphan, FB fan, or someone who gives ya grief for spending countless hours watching, reading, and talkin about our Phins?

This should be some fun.

good topic. couldnt ever see myself married to a true fan of a rival team. my wife isnt a football fan, though she has allegiance to the Phins by way of me. Funny thing is i got her very interested in baseball in the last few years, and we enjoy watching at least 2 Mets games a week together when time allows. baseball is a pretty stoney game, and it allows us to have good conversation.

Dolphins games, on the other hand, are a much more frenetic (im sure a neutral observer would say psychotic) viewing experience. I wouldnt want to hang out with me while i was watching football, its bad. jumping, screaming, cursing.. you all know the drill. so Fall Sunday mornings (im mountain) she basically clears outta the house, and when she returns home in the 4th quarter as she often does, rarely does it take more than a few minutes before i've garnished a stink-eye from her.

Something tells me your friend didn't get any for a while after the last game of the season...hehe

yeah my better half is a fan became a fan because of me. She loves watching the games but hates being around me when things aren't going well because I tend to get a little psycho ok maybe more than a "little" haha. So its awesome that she likes the fins but she hates how much time I spend in the offseason following the fins

My wife HATES baseball on tv but, loves to go to games.

As to watching Dolphin games, I am very calm, cool, and collected. Should the wife, friends, or neighbors within a block, post anything about yelling, screaming, throwing stuff, or wanting to throw the tv off the balcony, they are just making it up. It's only a game. LOL

He tells me that he sleeps in the guest room twice a year but, they always "kiss" and make up every Mon or Tues. Different strokes for different folks. LOL

Yeah, I get a lot of off season grief as well, especially pre-draft. "Why don't you just wait until the Picks? she always asks.

This year, I picked Davis and Smith at first and third choices. I was ecstatic, as no one else I know came close.

When I told her, on draft day, she said "That's nice." ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!

Grasshopper,

At the ripe old age of 17, perhaps you can let us in on your secrets. :)

The wife doesnt follow but will root for them. So I made sure the daughters started out right at birth. They had Dolphin clothes before they were born. LOL

My wife and all of her family are Cowboys fans. My wife is not even really a fan as she doesnt really care for football at all, but she is guilty by association and likes to give me crap for being a fan of the Phins. The 1-15 season was very tough during family functions.
