I thought the play calling was a little better today. It was more balanced. There were 27 runs and 29 passes (although a little skewed because of some late runs). We were right at 400 yards of total offense with 186 coming on the ground. Of course there was the pitch to Sammy where he had the run/throw option that made me say, "WTF!". But I've grown accustomed to Mularkey making one or two "WTF" calls per game. I thought we mixed up the runs better with some counters, outside runs, and hitting it off tackle. Typically it seems we run up the middle 75% of the time. (Wad-ball as Saban once called it). Detroit's defense isn't exactly lights out, so it made play calling easier. But all in all, this had to be the best called game we've had, IMO.

Yea, I liked that we committed to the run more. Probably would have done it even more if Ronnie hadn't left early. Ronnie was having a good game.

Yeah Ronnie was having a very good game. It seemed his was thisclose to busting one on several runs and likely would have as we wore the Detroit defense out more and more. Too bad he was hurt. I'm a little concerned about his injury. Fortunately, he has 10 days to get better. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I thiought the gadget was an ok call.

SM made a good descicion, and, lost a few yards as opposed to disaster.

We had it to give.

I thought the 55 yard gallop was more humorous and a sad reflection on the Lions franchise than exciting.

Our slow backup being pursued by the whole Lions team...I couldn't stop laughing for about 5 minutes.

I thought it was a good call in terms of the surprise factor. Noone would have expected that play to be called with our backup RB in there. I question the timing of it. We were having too much success without having to go to a gadget play to establish momentum.

**Morris did make a good decision not to force a throw. Good smarts.

The stiff-arm he laid on that DB was awesome!

I don't know if anyone else saw it but Mularkey..again..although we were up by like 2 TDs and I think there was still like 7 minutes left he tried the good ol' HB pass when Morris was in, except it got shutdown.

I say screw the little trickery and stick to mis-direction plays that seemed to be working quite well.

even tho we scored off that int...me and my father were discussing how we need to go for the kill right after a huge turn over like that i didnt like the 2 runs and then the pass but hey ill take a TD any day of the week!!!
