BIG BEN WILL BE READY FOR FINS
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be able to play in the 2006 regular season opener on September 7 against the Miami Dolphins.
Citing unnamed sources, Bouchette reports that the injuries are confined to Roethlisberger's face, and that published reports of potentially serious knee and shoulder injuries were incorrect.
In short, Ben is one lucky *******. Dumb as a twice-baked potato, but lucky nevertheless.
Bouchette also reports that the surgery required seven hours due in part to efforts by surgeons to ensure a faster recovery time. Roethlisberger is expected to miss the preseason opener, but he will be able to participate in training camp.

i hate this site. just yesterday they said his knees were badly hurt

Dont take anything they say seriously

While Im not saying he wont be ready, Id wait for a more...reliable report

Yeah PFT is easily the most joke of a site there is. They just make up reports on what they think might be true. All of us on Finheaven could run a website like that and just take what we know and generate stories out of it.

I hope that is true. We need to play them at thier best. Good luck with your recovery Ben. God Bless. And believe that God has blessed you.

Lucky and Stupid are like offsetting penalties.

GOOD! I hope so. I want Recklessberger to play so we beat them full strength, no excuses.

The title of this thread should be:

"Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Reports Ben will Be Ready to Play"

Actually, it should read "Ben SHOULD be ready to play". I have serious doubts as to whether a guy who undergoes 7 HOURS of surgery to his face and jaw will be ready to play for week one.

Just like all the "experts" assume C-Pep won't be ready for week one, there's no reason we should make any assumptions as to who will be under center for the Steelers on Sept 7.

I want him ready too, I don't want excuses one way or the other as to why we won or lost the game. Besides I don't like seeing people hurt even if it was due to their own stupidity. I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Reading PFT is like watching Jerry Springer, somewhat entertaining but its all a bunch of BS.

Why is everyone so quick to bash PFT on every single article? Try reading the website that they got their source from, it's the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. In case you didn't see the link in PFT's article, here it is again: http://post-gazette.com/pg/06164/697867-100.stm

You have to admit they haven't done a whole bunch to earn credibility. I never go to the website any more because of previous crap they wrote. 99% of their stuff is BS and that is the reason I will bash it without even going there. But I do understand what you're saying. Had I known it was the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, it would have come with a lot more credibility.

The very first sentence says it.

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Of course PFT slams the Fins regularly, but is quick to slobber all over Pitt's balls

Wrong.

PFT is always praising Saban, and reguarly states that they think he'll win a SB when its all said and done.

I'm sooooo sick of hearing people on this board whine about how the media hates us. PFT hates us, ESPN hates us, blah, blah blah. Media outlets do not hate the Dolphins. Get over it!
