We are gonna get this guy.

We need another veteran presence along the D-line, and he's almost here. Check it...

Talks between the Dolphins and free agent defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson have heated up, and the player's agent said Friday he hopes a deal can be struck.

If signed, Wilkinson would give Miami another starting-caliber tackle who can share time with Keith Traylor, who turns 37 on Sept. 3. Brig Owens, who represents Wilkinson, said he is talking only to the Dolphins.

''I wouldn't be talking [to Miami] if he didn't want to play,'' Owens said. ``We hope things can work out.''

Time is essential, as the Dolphins would like to have Wilkinson in camp within the next week. It seems clear Wilkinson wants to play for the Dolphins but isn't eager to toil in the South Florida heat during two-a-day practices.

Im not a fan of the 3-4 defense :nono: maybe thats because I suck with it in madden I dont know  but I like the idea of having two big guys in the middle not just one

Imagine Traylor AND Wilkinson in at the same time

I know, I was just saying I dont like the 3-4 and giving that as a reason I like the 4-3

Last year we were a 3-4 team that actually played more 4-3 anyway, so who knows what happens this year

Were more suited to be a 4-3 team because our best players are on the D-line and we have a weakness at LB (except ZT and Channing of course)

Initial impression? I'm not impressed.

Hey guys like Walter Jones used to hold out every year, miss alot of TC and he is considered to be the best Left Tackle in the game by many. These vets know what they are doing. I mean of course he needs to get into playing shape, and not being in camp doesn't help him getting a good contract at all, but when u get vets like Big Daddy who have been doing it for so long . . and with his size, there isn't much he needs to know. I'm not saying he is right for saying he doesn't wanna do the 2 a day TC, it actually would be better for the team and him, but its not as important a factor with a NT who is a long time vet, he knows what he gots to do.

I see where you are going but he is a fat vet DLineman. He won't be playing all the time and he knows how to play through a season. If he were to go through too many 2/days he;d probably die.
