big jake and donald thomas

I was impressed with Long, he had that one play where he was beat, but other than that he has really been impressive. He doesn't look like a rookie at all.

It's going to be an interesting year here in Miami. Pennington was a great pick-up. He has a presence on the sideline that I haven't seen around here in a long time. He seems large and in charge, much more so than Fiedler or Ferotte ever did.

Its Richmond Webb and Keith Simms all over again. I love it.

He was beat on a running play, It was a rookie mistake im sure he will fix. Just like the False Start from last week. The guy is gonna be solid for years to come.

If you really focus on Jake Long as he progresses the play he sheds the first tackler than moves on to a second. I think he engaged multiple defenders on almost every play. Rookies aside, look at the pull that Smiley did on the TD run Rickey just got into his back pocket and got into the endzone.

yeah smiley is a beast... helluva pickup

it's so nice to see us set up with a 3rd and 1 or even 2 to 3 and actually feel confident we'll pick it up rather than thinking, here comes a short pass attempt that will ultimately fail and we'll be punting. I feel our short yardage is really improved.

The best part is that they don't look lost and disorganized. I hate to say that every play last year made me nervous because I never thought they were cohesive enough to be sure at any aspect of the game.

Where does all of this leave McKinney?

Ohh man iv never been so pumped for an Oline in my entire life! Jake looks to be the real deal and even after he missed his run block he sat down and the coaches talked to him he looked like he was accepting the information and not acting ****y or stubborn for being the 1st overall pick! Gotta love that :woot:

I still remember the days of Wade Smith well who could forget all thouse sack lunches he let in!!! :sidelol:

I think were finally headed down the right road!

The whole Oline looks beast. Hopefully they take this momentum into the regular season and don't look back. Blocking like this for Ricky equals candidate for rushing title.

Maulers. They both need a lot of seasoning, but damn they have potential.

im excited about the line, but is it me or is smiley standing around too much? according to sportscenter ronnie hurt his thumb and on a screen play he hit his hand on smiley who was standing there watching.

Long got beat by Spicer once on a running play inside. Not really worried about it. He held his ground well.

Also we handled a big physical defense real well.

We made big strides tonight folks!
