Big misses last 2 drafts

I'd bet 100 bucks someone on this forum is pissed we didn't take Keenum in the 7th instead of RT in the first.

I actually liked Keenum when he was in UH. I was shocked that he fell so far down the chart.

Wait for the Nick Foles threads to pop up left and right after his 7td performance today. I guarantee there'll be at least 3.

People don't seem to realize the value in trading a player for a draft voucher. Think about it in reverse, you give us your 2012 second round pick and we'll give you Vontae Davis in 2013. It looks pretty stupid that way right?

Add to that Vontae was a good player that was hitting his prime and was relatively inexpensive. So we dump him and his $1.2 million salary and bring in Patterson and Richard Marshall at $10 million as a short term replacement while we wait for his long term replacement to learn the ropes 3 years later. GENIUS!!
well stated. I hated that trade then and I hate it now. So dumb. So dumb.

Anyone who watched Foles in college could see he'd be a solid nfl qb. So that means just Pac12 fans. And he'll end up a solid starter.

After today's events I hope I never read again that it's all about the tape. The tape is merely a fraction of the story, as I've emphasized countless times. I have an advantage as an older fan because I already experienced the Carlton/Reese/Crowder embarrassments of the mid '70s.

Our draftniks here don't have interview access. So they can be partially excused for over reliance on tape. Jeff Ireland doesn't have a similar excuse. It's absurd for so many guys with personality flaws to be showing up on this roster.

If I were a local reporter I'd take this opportunity to interview the Missoula authorities about Jimmy Wilson and his past. That guy should not be on this team, and I'm not referring to his cover ability. As soon as Ireland drafted Wilson I was livid, and realized that Ireland had no idea what he was doing, in terms of assembling a solid cast of characters.

I think it's clear at this point that when Bill Parcells said he didn't want 'thugs' on his team, he meant 'cult stranglers from India.'

What, you mean we can't divine the very essence of reality in these matters from our vantage point in front of a TV, equipped with a boatload of confirmation bias? ;)

Computer screen works just as well, or so ive been led to believe after seeing plethora of threads started by those with agenda's.

Until everything falls from the Parcells tree, this organization will remain an embarrassment to the city and fans. There is no doubt that in my 43 years of being a fan, nothing has been more detrimental to this franchise than hiring that fat piece of **** from New Jersey. Ross needs to remove everything that has had anything to do with him.

I think what we'll see here is that when the house is cleaned the next time around, Dan Marino will step into the "John Elway" role and direct the show from there.

That's been the biggest weakness all along IMO, not having anybody with deep ties to the franchise's heritage involved in the front office after Don Shula's departure. It's been a hodgepodge of hits and misses from there, rather than something more along the lines of a "mission," due to that, IMO.

Initially I didn't like the idea but I have changed my thoughts after thinking it through. Without a doubt Dan gives the franchise credibility and obviously has very close ties to front office people. dan could steer Ross in the correct direction of who to hire as a GM and go from there.

No doubt, they need to make the first hire a team president than work their way down.

If Ross wants to give Philbin another year without Ireland he should try a publicity stunt and give the fans some say over personnel, have 10 or 20 higher profile gurus in the know and responsible for roster decisions but whenever they can't agree put it to a public vote. This would likely be a huge failure but I think it would get fans in the seats to support their baby if they felt like they had some say in the direction of the team. And hey, it couldn't be any worse than what we've seen from Ireland.

If we have had taken 4 Olinmen in the past 2 drafts with top picks the fans would blow up the Stadium. I agree its out biggest hole, and its not like any of our picks are playing anyway, but fans would have all quit on the team.
