Big O: Hearing Peyton Manning to Dolphins, Reggie Wayne might follow

Bring them both in. Draft a pass rusher first round. Ill see you in New Orleans.

fingers crossed for Manning of Flynn then.... Melvin Ingram come on down - we NEED pass rushers, Ingram could be the next Justin Tuck... aka: Brady Killer. That's my guy if he is avalible at #8. I think we have guys that can get it done at WR and RB, if I was looking to get better talent anywhere on offense it would be the Line and TE.

Tannehill would be nice to groom but I don't think he is around when we pick in the second.

I hope it happens. Our options are slim, unless they want to trade a lot to get RG3. Or if they believe Matt Flynn becomes the next Tom Brady which seems unlikely.

Said it once and ill say it again if we getting manning we r drafting a RT hands down no question about it. Forget a RB and a pass rusher maybe in the second but if manning is here we r getting a RT.

I mentioned this reggie wayne thing like 3 weeks ago about how we would have a good chance to sign him for decent money if we got manning.

If we get Manning, don't be suprised if Jeff Saturday comes to Miami too!

As much fun as it would be to get Manning with both his center and favorite WR, I don't think Ireland goes for Saturday, at all.

1) He's too undersized to square off against AFC East NTs
2) Pouncey, drafted #15, gets moved to G. Ireland's pride will NOT allow him to do that.

Now Wayne, for a reasonable contract, could definitely follow.

When should we know more or less if he is coming here? like what are the key deadlines to where things need to start happening before we move on?

Either Peyton can throw the ball or he can't....it's that simple. Ireland needs to fly to Indy with Marshall and a couple other receivers (If Manning becomes a Free Agent) and see if Peyton can throw the short and long routes, slants and can go to his right and left. Reports are that he is throwing the ball pretty well. The next question is, "Does getting sacked/hit risk further injuring the area. or is a more of a nerve issue that may just have to run it's course over time." Sometimes you have degenerative issues like arthritis, scar tissue and things that have nothing to do with getting sacked or hit. I just hope Manning can play for at least three more years as he has been a class act and a guy you root for no matter where he ends up. I would love to see him in a Phin's uniform if he can play at close to what he once was.
I agree with this post, and would just add that he needs to be able throw for a long period , with his 40th deep out just as brisk as his 1st. Fatigue will be a real issue with this injury.

If Manning comes here our #1 pick will NOT be a RB or even a WR. It will be an OL or maybe a pass rusher depending on how we feel about the OL we have on our roster or how Ireland feels about the OL talent available in the 2nd round.

Is our RT already on our roster but was hurt last year?
Is an elite pass rusher available at #8 a better pick because of the OL talent we can get at the top of round 2?

These are question being asked if we draft Manning. We won't be drafting a QB until the later rounds if we get Manning. You can forget drafting Tennehill with our #8 if we sign Manning.

No Manning, healthy or not. You bring the guy in and they have to spend the first year of his few left developing as an offense trying to find an identity under a new head coach and philosophy. Then you spend the next couple of years with a guy running the offense as the OC basically that almost no QBs in the league are capable of, or it's history for that matter. The whole time training a QB behind him to take over an offense he won't be capable of running because Manning is that good and is the system. Total waste to get Manning IMO. However, if Flynn would cost an outragous amount and we cant get to the 1st or 2nd pick, I heart Manning.

I think it's different with Culpepper, Culpepper had A lot of power and that helped him when he played for the Vikings. When he hurt his knee it effected his ability to throw the long ball consistently and he was never a very accurate paser. If Manning's injury heals then we will see the same Manning in Indianapolis, Even if he's not all the way healed he'll still be a huge threat with his knowledge of the game. At the very worst I see Peyton as A Chad Pennington to us.

Culpepper was also never a great QB and wasn't nearly as smart of a QB as Manning is. Even if Peyton isn't as healthy he makes up for it w/ smarts. W/ that said even at 100% good health and w/ better talent around him he only made 2 SBs and only made one. It would be a risky move for Miami but probably one worth taking if he is anywhere close to healthy especially if it gets Wayne w/ him too. Even Peyton at 70% w/ Wayne and Marshall would make that O almost impossible to deal w/ until January.

I agree, if Pennington was able to get us to playoffs, i can't even imagine what Manning could do with more weapons around him. It's a risk worth taking IMO

no matter the price, a healthy manning, or heck even a 85 percent manning any day of the week over matt flynn. no debate.
