I believe that every payer is being evaluated this season. In fact, you might say that this entire season is kind of a preseason to next year. That being said, who do you guys think is expendable? Are there one or two players that are clearly underachieving with big names and bloated contracts that we might use to get a higher draft pick or a key free agent (like Philip Rivers)?

To answer my own question: I see Chris Chambers as a guys that other teams would be interested in and could get us a Rivers type player. We could then use a mid-first-round pick on an explosive WR or big-time LT. I am extremely disappointed in Chris. I had very high hopes for him but he just doesnt seem to have it. What do you guys think.

I wouldnt trade Chambers, but yes he is a disappointment thus far.

As for some players that may need to go....any of the OT's (except Carey-he is still young)

Maddison for sure(I dont care about these BS stats the guy is a coward in run defense and is a dumb*ss to boot.

I think we'd take a monstrous cap hit trading him. He got a huge signing bonus and it would all accelerate into next year's cap. That said though, it may still be worth it to trade a guy who's being paid like a #1 and playing like a #2 than to continue to pay him for the rest of his contract and try to pay another #1 contract alongside it. We have to have SOME #1 receiver on the field.

How about just getting rid of the dumb players we have? Oh wait, we wouldn't have enough players to fild a punt unit. And guess what? We can't blame Wanny now cos he's not here anymore.

Ozzy rules!!

If we could get a 1st round pick or 1st round talent for Chambers, I would do it, but I would probably cry when he left. Try to get a 3rd or higher for Madison. Take anything you can get and/or cut Feeley and everyone on the line except for Carey, James and Hadnot. Hold on to Ricky if he produces like he used to. Zach could be trade bait, but I would keep him unless we are offered 1st round value for him.

reggie wayne is a free agent this year, dotn forget and it was said in i believe the herald athat miami is looking to pick up two KEY free agents this offseason with all taht money they have to spend. One on each side of the field. I say peterson might come and R. wayne or brees/rivesr on the other side.

Just a little suggestion: If you are going to call someone a dumb *ss, you should try to spell their name correctly especially someone who has been on the team for so long.
