Biggane says Tannehill is not in the running to start and calls Philbin a liar

The truth is out. Philbin is a big fat liar. Should have figured as much. There goes all my respect for the guy; I had high hopes for him.

In all reality it is Philbin's job to keep certain things undisclosed. I like what Philbin did in this situation. If Hartline felt that his appendectomy was something that the general population should know, then it is his right to do so. If he wanted to keep it a secret, then what the **** is it to the media and the fans? I don't need to know every time Hartline has explosive diarrhea or is massively constipated. An appendectomy is a routine procedure and the recovery time is small. Hartline missing some OTA's in June and July so he can feel better isn't going to hamper him that much in the long run. I'm more worried about his busted fingers that landed him on the IR last year.

I used to be a healthcare administrator and there were lots of federal laws preventing people from disclosing injuries to others.....if Philbin didn't want to tell this beat writer about Hartline's surgery and medical issues, maybe he wasn't allowed to divulge this information? There are confidentiality agreements in these laws and regulations. I do think the NFL requires that teams reveal which players are on injured reserve lists, but that is a separate matter, and you always have teams like the Cheatriots listing that Brady has a shoulder injury every week. :rolleyes2:

So Tannehill has no chance to play for a while huh.? Thats probably a good thing.

God I wish the damn season would start, this is starting to get worse than the lockout year. What a ridiculous, baseless comment, a liar, wtf? I guess surgeries are now public matters when it comes to being non-football related. Biggane is a ****ing dumbass for writing this, this is the type of **** Armando would write.

Looks like we’ll start having to take the information coming from another Dolphins beat writer with a grain of salt. Nothing new there.

Sorry if it felt like we were piling on Hoops, I for one wasn't. I was just trying to state what I felt was the obvious. Look at it this way, what if it was something more embarrassing like penial enlargement surgery, or like George Michael he got a gerbil stuck up his kister , or even a STD, should that also be public knowledge?? Players have to live a life in front of the spot life enough as it is, I don't think it is anyones business if it isn't football related, IMO.

I could give two ****s about what Biggane said about Philbin. No coach tells the entire truth about everything in every situation and the guy is just trying to find a story where there is none.
What is slightly concerning is that Tannehill was unable to make ANY push for the starting (or backup) job despite his head start on Sherman's offense... What I just said is almost a direct quote from Rotoworld's blurb about this article, but I share their sentiments completely. I understand that Tanny is a rook, but he's supposed to be vastly more physically talented than Moore or Garrard, and he supposedly knew this playbook inside and out. I would have liked to have seen him make some headway.

I am going to wait until training camp and some actual game action(preseason) before determining if he is making headway or not. Tannehill is raw, and most people think/expect he will spend a year on the bench before starting a regular season game. The thing is, Moore and Garrard are experienced veterans and have been through all this before. This is brand new for Tannehill, so even though he had a grasp on the offense first, those other two know the ins and outs of the NFL and likely picked up the offense quickly. I think if you put Moore or Garrard in Indianapolis they probably would have done better in offseason workouts than Luck, same with Weeden in Cleveland.

I don't think there is any real concern at this point in the development of Tannehill. He has only been with the team two months and is transitioning from college to the NFL. Once he gets to training camp with pads on and gets some real game experience in the preseason we will likely see significant growth.

wtf is this idiot talking about? philbin did the right thing he said hartline is dealing with personal issues and i would put surgery in that category, philbin does not have to come out and say hartline was having surgery!

If HIPA works the same for opticians as it does everyone else the surgery is a medical procedure. Hartlines health infromation is protected by federal law/ The same way you don't have to tell your boss what your doctors diagnosis was even if you are on the company insurance. As an optician i see peoples eyeglass perscriptions on a daily basis i am not legally allowed to discusses anyones perscription outside of my lab. Hell we heave to keep our eyeglass persription for 2 years then have them shredded by a third party. Which i think is really stupid because 90% of the people that would see the infromation don't know what it means, and if you really want to know if someone doesn't see well just hang out with them you can tell.
