Bigger Problem for the Dolphins: Jeff Ireland or Stephen Ross?

Good time to go to the draft sight and get excited before the actual draft comes. Imagination is a wonderful thing and I hope that your imagination is realized in April and not turned into another what the hell just happened....

with the understanding that you are looking for an impact player........

Ross. I think he gives Miami hot-headed media and fans too much inference in football decisions.

just...

Right now the biggest issue may be Ireland, but the long term Ross is a bigger issue.

Ross chose to stick with Ireland, but we have to see how Philbin turns out before we label Ross.

Philbin was hand picked by Ross.

Tough call, probably Ireland (by a hair), but Ross is responsible for a huge number of blunders himself. So it really depends what "problem" it is your speaking of.

Ross: celebrity-obsessed, misguided, questionable intentions, preoccupied with the wrong things (ie: not winning, but rather, filling seats via stadium renevations, water parks, celebrities and other inane non-football related methods), keeping Ireland for some unknown reason, willing to overpay free agents based on name value.

Ireland: ass kisser/yes man to Ross, makes bad impressions on players, after 4 seasons has failed to establish a winning culture in Miami, bad talent assessments ie: multiple mediocre/poor drafts, inability to secure crucial free agent acquisitions, questionable personnel decisions (Marshall and Bell).

Ross I think means well he's just football owner ignorant. He doesn't know when to talk and when to shut up and that gets him and the organization into trouble....promises he can't fill...

If he would just find someone who's capable of running the organization and he should just stay out.

His positives are one he wants a great team and two he is not afraid to spend the big bucks .....which is a plus...

your rite i got to talk to harbough at a football clinic and i asked him about ireland he laughed

It's a little difficult to give him better weapons when he lost his best weapon by far.

Ross is as bad as Ireland because among other things he kept Ireland for another year after Sparano got the axe. You cannot however fire an owner so as much as we might like new ownership it is unlikely. The gm position should change hands next year if we have another mediocre season.
