Maybe it doesn't feel like it, but technically it was. Miami was +13 at gametime today after being as high as +14 during the week. I don't think the New England line on Monday night last year got above +11.

It's also one of the biggest upsets in Dolphin history. We're almost never a double digit underdog but the only time I remember Miami winning with a spot above this one was +14 in the Coliseum against the Vince Ferragamo-led Rams in 1980. It was our third straight road game but rookie David Woodley was too raw to know or care. He ran all over the field and Miami covered the number in reverse, 35-14.

Its probally going to be a huge highlight of the season but biggest upset in dphins history?

I would consider it because we were on the road, but I thought last years win was bigger because we only had 2 wins coming into that game. We had an interim coach New England was on a winning streak.....exc. I thought it was much more exciting last year.

Marty $hitenheimer always chokes on these big games....ALWAYS...what has he ever won? Then Marty throws a crybaby fit at the end of the game regarding the onside kick.....wanhhhhh...it is never an upset when beating Martyball. He plays not to lose.

I think it stems from the fact :

- We've been horrible on the road all year
- This game had major playoff implications for SD
- Very rarely has a team been able to stop that LT led offense

You must be popping that champagne Awsi since we've reached 6 wins.
Who else did you have money on at the start of the year ?

By the numbers it is, but I don't think it is- beating the Pats last year was a bigger upset because of how bad we were and the fact that we knocked off the defending champs.

The thing that I loved to see was that **** Feeley was bitching at the refs too. :rofl3:

The only reason its an upset is because people overlooked us. We were worse last year and the Pats were better than the Chargers. Not only that, but the big 4th quarter comeback and the assumption by the announcers that the Pats would win made it all the better. That victory was record-breaking becase we were such a bad team. This doesn't compare.

He said "It's also one of the biggest upsets in Dolphin history. "

He never said it was the biggest, just one of them and he is dead on. This is an upset you can build onto next year and so forth.

This upset shows they are finally learning and grasping Saban's ways and that is such a great sign.

That's why it's one of the biggest upsets in Dolphins history.

The thing that I'm thrilled with is we're finisihing games now. They have the confidence to seal the deal, and they're playing like it. It's AWESOME to see that and REALLY gives us something to build on for next year when Saban can get more of his own guys in here.

Yeah, it feels great, Pink Dove. When we were 3-7 I was mumbling to myself that everyone here was saying the over 5 or 5.5 wins was a gift, but I was probably the only dummy to bet it. But I'm glad to see others won also, PressCoverage and no doubt others

The only other future bet I made was Colts to win their division. So that was an easy one. I only bet that one because the number was so bad, -125 or bet 5 to win 4. It should have been much higher.

I used to have dozens of future bets because I worked for two guys who could afford to put up the money for 6 months. I just took a cut of their action and we settled up one way or the other after the season. Now I've got to put my own money up before the season, so I just look for blatant mistakes.

The only problem is I can't collect until after the regular season is over. It's just like when you bet a game over the total but they make you wait until the game is over, even if the over/under is decided in the third quarter or earlier.

I bet on Miami to beat denver in the opener, nothing big just won about $30 I bet to make the game more interesting and not to make serious $

Great game today but last years New England win was slightly more enjoyable to me. Nick has this team playing great and 3 wins in a row and a win over a team like SanDiego has me really excited about the rest of the year and All of next year.

This was a good Team Win, however, it wasn't better than defeating the Patsies while they were on their way to a third Chanmpionship. That was a Sweet Win!
