The biggest concern I have going into this season is our ability to score inside the redzone. Last year we had to settle for many FGs due to our inability to punch it in when we were close. Its a big reason we drafted guys like Turner and Hartline. Alot of points could be had if we figure out down there and could move us from a decent team to a very good team. Even in the preseason game against Carolina we got down there with the wildcat play to Cobbs, but failed to finish it off. To take that next step we gotta finish the drives off.

So what are your concerns? Im looking to hear more about concerns for the team as a whole not really per player.

i'm most concerned with run blocking. we were pretty bad running between the OTs last season. hopefully our OL will be able to open up some holes up the middle this season.

Without a doubt, the biggest concern is Jason Ferguson going down with an injury.

well i have the same concerns as you do.

I will add one more concern and that is will we ever wear the aqua jerseys or get a third jersey .

I am suffering from painters syndrome too much white is a sign of stagnification.

Running the ball! Smash mouth football.
If we can do that we will be in good shape. It opens up the pass, rests the defense.
We have the runners and decent recievers we just need those run blockers blocking. You can bet the Trifecta is working on it, just look at all the money we have in that line.
The wildcat last year helped accomplish the running for us but to continue to rely on that is counting on a gimmick play pulling your butt out of the fire and that will probably be only so effective for so long.

In the end we need a line that can run block. Vernon Carey is probably the weakest link in that area but the guy has stayed healthy. The rest of the dudes except Jake Long have been a bit of a MASH unit so far. We will make progress this year with better depth but it is certainly slow going.

The rest of the team almost seems to be progressing faster than the line which is interesting being that Sporano is an ex offensive line coach himself. Hopefully our new OL coach makes the differnece.

I'm with ya there, but I see that as my #2 concern.

My biggest concern will be how our new secondary will pan out. Hopefully they can get the growing pains out of the way early in the season.

I think the biggest concern is if Pennington gets hurt.

I was in the Henne camp thinking I would like him in there already but I don't think we're nearly as good of a football team is pennington gets hurt. When you watch the offense, it's not nearly as effecient without Chad P.

Now the biggest concern non injury wise is our Offense. If we give up points early our team is not built to come back from behind. We are a ball control, play defense type team and if we get down by two scores early on, I am a little worried that our offense might not be able to overcome the early defecit.

How long will it take for the O-line to gel?

Cohesiveness, boys ... That's what we need.

there's only one newcomer on the line... jake grove... if dolnald thomas is beat by murphy for the starting RG job then count 2... that's not a whole lot

i was encouraged when i saw how well our running backs ran against carolina...

My biggest concern is converting 3rd downs while maintaining all the good things from last year. Tall order every year, but If we do that, then it means running and passing improved and score more and control clock more. keep all the good QB's we will face off the field. except Hollywood Dirty Sanchez.
