I realize it is only Tuesday, but its never too early to discuss this game. We have demonstrated we can compete with anyone in the NFL this year. Joe Rose was talking to Tim Graham today on his show, Tim Graham, ESPN beat writer fyi. Tim said there is no one in the NFL the dolphins cannot beat....no one, and that is what makes this season so sad up to this point. We have shelled the best teams in this league and have not finished.

We are a talented team with gaping holes at WR and S, however we still have what it takes to not just beat, but dominate the class of the NFL. However, all of this talk is pointless if we do not finish. At some point we need a statement game. A game to show us and the NFL we are playoff contenders even after all the adversity we have overcome. We thought we had it week 2, then vs the saints, but now is the time.

To be real we have 9 games left. 2 vs the pats...then 1 against the steelers. We need 10 wins to have a shot at the playoffs. so you do the math. People will say oh we just need a split with the pats and beat em in Miami. I disagree, we beat them this week and we are in the drivers seat going into that home game. WE stop hoping for others to lose and WE take this season in our hands right now. WE are tired of no respect and coming close, and talking about moral victories all season. This is the game that puts us in position to stop the hoping, but take control.

We would be 4-4 going into a stretch of games 5 out of 6 against very winnable games. That one being against the Pats @ HOME for the DIVISION IMO. Followed by 2 more home games texans-tough, and steelers-hopefully clinched. Point is we are running out of season to wait and hope for later. Winning this game throws pressure on the Pats, and likely makes us 7-4 during our next matchup. What an incredible accomplishment from what we have been through.

Yes the Pats are coming from a bye, and yes a loss here wouldnt doom us, with a game here later. But we have been close 2ice to beating a giant. 2ice we have been let down and had more painful a losses I can remember for any reg season game for any team.

It is time to define what we are, pretenders who will hang around and have a good year, maybe make a push but fall short bc of early losses.......or contenders who have overcome adversity and are ready to take this season into their hands.....and yes we have holes...but this is the NFL and next year is not guranteed. We have alot going for us, and the ability to beat anyone in this league....it would be a shame to waste that ability this year....This game would go miles in giving us the signature win we have not had this year....last year we did it against the Pats and it propelled us...Its time for the signature win this year....we have fans have suffered for it enough this year...and its time....lets bring it home

I agree, Sundays game is a must win game....it allows us to control our own destiny....we will still have to go win for win with the Pats down the stretch.

Starting 0-3 and we now control our own destiny. Hard to believe.

Losing this game still wouldn't kill the season but at best the team would finish 9-7 if they lose to New England.

I don't see it as a must win but it's not far from it.

I do see this as a must win. For one last year us beating them at their place did wonders for us and it will be the same. I believe this year we will beat them at home but at their place it may not be that easy even if it is the craziest winter game ever. Look at the TN game winter is Brady and com. best friend and winter for us is a nightmare. Can you imagine if sweep the whole afc east. I want that wrap up for Christmas this year.

I agree. This is a freakin huge game. Not that our season would be over...but it would be a huge uphill climb if we lose.

Lose this game and stick a fork in us.

I wouldnt say stick the fork all the way in us.....but sharpen it and play just the tip bc yea we have overcome adversity but this hole is too big with the holes we have.

We absolutely cannot lose this game...

If we lose we go to 3-5, the Pats go to 6-2....

That puts us 3 games back from them and we would have to win EVERY game down the stretch to have a chance. Even if we beat them in Miami we will still be 2 games behind them. The only games they have left that they might have a hard time with are @indy and @ NO.....Thay would have to lose both of those games and us win every game on our schedule to finish ahead of them if we lose on Sunday....

IT IS A MUST WIN GAME!!!

I am one whom agrees this game is huge and considered a must win. This is a divsion game and the way things are shaping up, the only way we may get into the playoffs is by winning the divsion.

We need this game really bad. If we win we go 4-4. This would put us at 2nd place in the divsion with the tiebraker over the jets whom have a bye. The Patriots would then be 5-3 with another game coming down in Miami. We are in great position to take first place in the divsion but we need to start it now. Remember, it's not who starts fast, but who finishes fast.

We started off last year 2-4 also. Then we went on to win the next 9 out of 10 games with one of those games coming against the Pats. I just wish we could have pulled out one of those Colts or Saints games.

Anyhow, we need this game badly. If we lose our season isn't over, but it just makes it that much harder for us. We are a playoff caliber team. we need to just start finishing the game!! 9I know, said 1000x's) I think we match up very well against the Pats in most areas. I'm hoping that Sparano and company have some new wrinkles in store that they have been saving for this game. That's what we did last year. We played very vanilla until our first Pats game and then we went on a tear winning 10 out of the next 13 games.
