Since things have been looking so positive with the Dolphins and new Front Office, I thought I'd create a poll to go over the worst mistake that was made since Marino's career ended. We can look back and laugh because it just doesn't hurt as much anymore because of the direction we are in.

1. AJ Feeley for a 2nd round pick.

Not only was it a 2nd round, but it was the 2nd or 3rd pick in the round.

A 3rd string QB who never made any impact with this team.

2. Daunte Culpepper for a 2nd round pick.

A very big gamble that set this franchise back as much if not more then Feeley. Let's not forget the 8 million bonus we gave him.

3. Wannstedt Trading a 2nd round pick to the Patriots (division rival) in the next years draft for a 3rd round pick in the current draft. Only to go on and take Wade Smith, then Taylor Whitley in the same round.

4. Passing on players like Anquan Boldin and taking a linebacker named Eddie Moore who was projected by some to go undrafted. A major bust.

5. Passing on a player like Drew Brees to take Jamar Fletcher. Though a bust with the Dolphins, Fletcher has been able to play well enough to still be an active player in the NFL.

6. Trading Adewale Ogunleye for Booker and a 3rd round pick. Only to spend that third on a running back that never did anything in the league (lamar gordon) Adewale wanted a new deal, and received 10.5 million in guarenteed money. We gave the same amound of bonus money with Vonnie Holiday. Yes, the salary cap has gone up, but still, he was worth the money for the Bears, he would still be a force here.

What to pick.....hmmm

The AJ Feeley one was pretty damn awful. I mean at least you can't blame them for trading for Culpepper, who while injured was an NFL pro-bowl player. AJ Feeley had five games under his belt and had played very average in those games.

Draft ones are tough to choose because it's hard to say i knew Drew Brees was going to be a hell of QB out of Purdue and that Jamar Fletcher was going to be down right awful. The Todd Wade incident was pretty stupid though.

Plus how about the Ricky Williams decision? I know Ricky is/was a good player here, but basically we got two seasons out of the guy and we sold the farm to get him.

I did think about the Ricky Williams trade, but he did win us a bunch of games and still looks good. He was the heart of our team when we were competitive.

It's not one of the "worst decisions" with Culpepper and Feeley but it turned out to be a pretty bad move. Hopefully Ricky can redeem himself this year.

JJ should have brought in a his own, new O-coordinator, that guy basically undermined everything JJ was trying to do. Remember that chicken salad analagy he liked to use. He also should NEVER have promoted Kippy Brown later on.

We should have brought Kurt Warner when he became available, or we should have signed that cajun guy who plays for the Panthers.

Nobody knew players from the World Football League like Delhomme and Warner would turn out to be good NFL starters. I can't blame them for that. The same with the draft. But trading for Feeley was pretty damn stupid.

After the Rams went to the superbowl the entire world knew who Warner was. We should have signed him when the Rams let him go.

You know we almost signed Delhomme. Wannsteadt should never have had any kind of say in personel matters.

Warner was awful at the end of his career in St. Louis, he hurt his thumb in the Super Bowl and was never the same. The next season the Rams started 0-5 and Warner got benched. He fumbled 6 times in a game against the Giants i believe. Then he bounced around to New York and Arizona playing mediocre until pretty recently when he's been good for the Cards.

Call me crazy but I think a big mistake was NOT KEEPING Gus Frerotte. In 2005 he went 9-6 as a starter, with 18 TD's and 13 INT's. He threw for nearly 3,000 yards and that team was on the way up.

Instead we trade for Culpepper and we know what happened. I think we got greedy. Frerotte was good enough.

u have 2 put up passing on randy moss in the draft. i forgot who we took instead of moss but he was a defint bust.
