The Dolphins were comfortably giving yards away by playing their linebackers closer to the line of scrimage. You might say that our tackling was poor but with a team like the Colts, you don't want to gamble by leaving the inside routes open just to get a sack or pressure to the qb.

Dallas Clark was having a field day since most of our linebackers were playing closer to the line. A guy like Clark comes out of the line with a lot of momentum, and that makes it tough for a linebackers to catch up with a guy his size and speed. Nevertheless, our tackling could have been better.

The Dolphins did a lot of mistakes throughout the game even though they were having a field day against one of the worst defenses in the league. I think Chad Pennington put the ball on the money on two occasions and our players just flat out dropped 2 opportunities for a touchdown. On our driver before the last one, we had the chance to pass on a 3rd and 6. Instead we went to a more conservative direction by pounding the ball for a field goal.

That is not the way you want to win games, however, our defensive play calling was definately the deciding factor. The rest of the team did well in this win but against a mediocre Colts defense.
