Not funny:tantrum:

Shelton doing his thing for the Detroit Tigers and the Reds actually, you know, winning some ball games.

Now, if we can only get my Dodgers do do that...

The Reds being in 1st and getting pitching

When is he coming back? He's been day to day for almost a week now.

Biggest surprise for me is two fold: Shelton's power surge and the Tigers success. Most pleasing is the sweet 5 game lead of the New York Mets.

The tigers success is a surprise, Sheltons power is anything but. hes mashed at every level hes been at including with detroit last year.

The Royals being terrible...NOT a surprise :)

Bronson Arroyo being great for the Reds. The Detroit Tigers gotta get some credit also. I'm a homer and this may not be a surprise to anyone who followed baseball the 2nd half of last season but Jose Contreras is the best pitcher in the American League and is absolutely filthy. I thought losing El Duque would hurt him a little bit but he has been great. Nick Swisher is becoming a star in Oakland which isn't a surprise to anyone who read Moneyball. Right now i'd give the nod to Arroyo though, I don't know if the Reds will keep it up but he has been great so far.
