Biggio reaches 3,000 hits!!!

I have always liked Biggio. I think he is a guy that needs to be looked at when you talk about performance enhancing drugs.

Having said that though, there doesn't seem to be any evidence that has come out yet, and if I had a vote based on everything I know about him, I would put him in.

I think he belongs in there also, But I heard ppl question him actually getting in

I still can't believe he came in as a catcher. He's played everywhere, and at a high level. Learning new positions, and his bat never wavered. Another no doubter to me.

Yes, Hall of Famer...not first ballot, but definitely HOF material.

Yeah, that's a trip I remember seeing him in the 1990 all-star game as a catcher....Man I feel old :(

This makes no sense to me. Are you saying he should be a hall of famer but WON'T make it in on the first ballot? Or are you saying he should be in, but NOT on the first ballot?

Because if it is the latter, it makes no sense to me.

I'm saying he is deserving of the Hall of Fame, by the numbers he has put up (he wouldn't be on my first ballot if I had a vote though). I think a lot of players play as long as they can just to put up these numbers.....Prime Example: Rafiel Palmiero, who I don't think belongs in the HOF, steroids or not.

Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Rogers Hornsby, Jimmie Foxx, and Harmon Killebrew were NOT first ballot Hall of Famers, and they were all better than Biggio.

Dude, it's killing me. Guys like Biggio, Frank Thomas, and Griffey. I remember all of them as rookies. I was a big card geek back then.

Biggio always seemed like a class act, blue collar type of guy.

Congrats!
