Bill Belichick accepts job with UNC

Tom Brady is going back to university as a mature student to study Sports Broadcasting and Media Studies (advertising)
If Brady did that, he would have a legit shot at breaking Wilt's record.... if you know what record I'm referring too.

As much as I disliked him as the Putz coach, I have to agree.

I think coaching is in his blood, though. It's his love and makes him happy.

I have to believe he will be a good recruiter as well.

I agree. Some guys do what they love until they’re physically/mentally unable to. I get that vibe with BB.

I also think he’ll kill the recruiting in the ACC….. kids know what he’s capable of developmental wise, and he’s going to sell them on making a prestigious basketball school a football school. I think that program has a lot to offer with the right guidance.

The only thing I question is his patience, but watching him on Pat’s show quite a bit this year, for an “old guy” he’s very relatable to younger people when he cuts his personality loose.

How many wins does Mike Tomlin have?

That’s a good one because he’s still fairly young and obviously wins every single year.

183 + 8 postseason wins.

11th all time and only 17 wins away from Marty Shotty at #7. Good chance to finish top 5 if he continues coaching into his 60s.

I can see a world where BB is good at recruiting but is UNC really the right place?

It's always gonna be a Basketball focused school isn't it?

Admittedly i don't follow college football super close, but isn't UNC pretty mid in football?

He's not going to win with recruiting. It's UNC and the ACC and they're already a mid team in conference. Coaching college kids now will be vastly different from when he did it 40 years ago. All he is is an NFL name.

They will have a good defense that's for sure, but UNC won't be bringing in top 10 classes and if you can't get those recruits, you won't win. UNC doesn't have the money Georgia, Texas, Bama, UF, Miami, Clemson, FSU, LSU, Tennessee, OSU, Penn St, ND, Michigan, Ole Miss does....that's 14 teams vying for the same top recruits.

NIL CFB is a different animal these days and cruitin is a 24/7/365 job for the entire staff including the Head Coach. This won't end well for BB. He's still a legend NFL coach, and will be great defensively.

I think he could do well in recruiting....if he wants to and has the energy to. In the NFL, you go to the combine. You fly free agents to your HQ. Is Bill willing to go to Podunk, NC or GA or FL at various times during the year? Is he going to want to engage in establishing a rapport with the family as they will be entrusting their son to his care basically for the next 4 years or so? I'm not so sure about that.

Does he have the patience and skills to deal with 18-22 year olds? This will be interesting.

Damn, imagine how pissed off his GF is today. Bet she never expected to be the old lady at his job. College bishes everywhere.
