McDaniel has proved for multiple seasons he can't beat good teams and we're soft so maybe a hard nosed super successful coach can turn the culture around like Belichick would. It wouldn't be the first time a head coach left a college job he accepted for the nfl like kliff kingsbury did a couple of years ago.

Lol, less drugs. It's a thing.

While I think this would be a bad idea, it’s not something that can be done until after the divisional round of the playoffs anyway.

Hell no! Plus Belichick has never proven anything without Tom Brady!

I totally get the reasoning, we need an experienced HC, no more first timers. We've failed nearly every time with first time HC's for whatever reason.

As a Dolphins fan there's just no way you would want Bellicheck here, especially with the all-time wins record at stake, to surpass our 1 legendary coach. It was hard enough to root for a Thurman Thomas at RB or the countless others, it would be awful for the Fins to stomach BB on our sidelines, even if he turned us around. Someone else can do it...

I know of 2 guys who fit the criteria and both want to coach, have had success, and had great defenses.

Pete Carroll and Mike Vrabel would bring credibility and both would have the ability to build a competent staff across the entire team.

I really like Carroll and believe he'd be a better personality fit after McD. Many people don't like Vrabel because he had King Henry and ran him like Wanny ran Ricky...however he was tough and aggressive, built a strong OL and had a very good, tough and physical defense.

Both coaches would instantly improve this team, we would shed the soft label and play tough and smart football.

Bill apparently has MASSIVE penalties if he tried to exit UNC before his tenure begins there. Like in the multi millions in penalites. He's not going anywhere.
