Lewis, Parmalee leaving: Bill Lewis, who coaches defensive backs, and tight ends coach Bernie Parmalee were the first Dolphins coaches to move on, agreeing to join Charlie Weis' staff at Notre Dame.

Interim coach Jim Bates said he plans to speak with incoming coach Nick Saban on Tuesday about possibly returning as defensive coordinator. Bates said he needs some time to clear his mind and he hasn't determined what he'll do.

Good luck to both............Bernie to me has always been A real class act

Bernie's from Indiana originally, I think. Like Ball State or something (?).

He was a running back at Ball St. and he also bagged groceries there when he got another shot at hte NFL. He was one of my favorite backs that the Dolphins had. I wish him nothing but the best!

Hey easy what you say. I'm a ND fan, I don't want Rick S or Chris F. Although i do think Bernie will be a good pick up
