Two NFL legends are joining ESPN as analysts for the 2011 season.

The network on Wednesday announced the additions of Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice and two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Bill Parcells.

Parcells, who returns to ESPN after most recently working in the Miami Dolphins' front office, will make his first appearance on "Monday Night Countdown" on Aug. 15 before the New York Jets-Houston Texans preseason game. He also will make appearances during the season on "Sunday NFL Countdown" and contribute to two "SportsCenter Special" shows: "Super Bowl Confidential" and "Draft Confidential."

To be honest, if it were not for his stint with the 'Phins I would have a lot of respect for Parcells and even still I have no major issue with the guy. If I had to choose between him and most analysts on most networks (Dukes, Sapp, Ditka, Millen etc), there would be no competition.

You'll all have your foreheads mashed up against the television screen to get a glimpse of Bill's analysis and opinion on Chad Henne and the Dolphins in general should the opportunity present itself...

Parcells is a hack. Just run away from everything in life, Bill. Do two episodes, quit, and find something else for your fat @$s to do.

I watch NFLN...I can't stand the fact that Rice can barely speak English.

So Bill? How come the dolphin offense looks so good compared to last year? What gives?


Well, I always believed in my guys Ireland and Sparano to find the answers. I just didnt expect it this soon. But just give it a few more weeks, Henne will screw it all up. I begged Ireland not to take that guy.
