Jayson Foster

According to Armando Salguero:

*Bill Parcells watched throughout. The only player I saw him talking to was Foster, which is great for Foster because Parcells obviously thinks enough of him to even know he exists.

*Jayson Foster, playing exclusively at receiver, was impressive. He has great acceleration and catches the ball cleanly which is impressive because he played QB at Georgia Southern last year.

Everyone knows Armando is a drama queen.

I guess Armando didn't do his research on Foster. If he had, he would have known that Jayson also played WR his junior year at Georgia Southern.

Yeah, well, the waterboy happens to run a 4.1 40, but he's only a sophomore at Barry, so he's ineligible.

And Shhhhh...we don't want Bill getting written up for any violations.

I honestly had never heard of or seen Jayson Foster play in college......so I looked him up on youtube.

Impressive, he's got speed & moves.......rushed for a single season record of 1,645-yards as a QB

Had an 80-yard td pass
80 plus-yard TD run
80 plus-yard TD catch
80 plus-yard punt return TD
80 plus-yard kick return TD

Only player in NCAA history to accomplish that.

He lined up at RB, WR, QB & handles kick and punt returns, basically all the skill positions, could probably be a good DB too.

he played wide receiver as a freshman and junior, and quarterback as a sophomore and senior

In another thread, I said the guy looks like Barry Sanders. However, Foster is 5'9", 165. His numbers as a receiver in college aren't so good. I'm pulling for Foster, but it's not a safe bet he'll make the team. I hope he does.

Every once in a while, the little guy can succeed.

"He was, however, overlooked by most college recruiters because of his 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) size." (Note: Sanders was 200 pounds and had massive legs)

DeSean Jackson - Cal
5'9" 165 lbs, 4.35
Philly Eagles

I doubt McNabb is 2nd guessing that pick, he's probably thrilled to get a speedster like Jackson to stretch the field.

Dolphins own Ted Ginn is taller 6-foot but only 175 lbs whick makes him appear even more slender.

I agree at the NFL level 5'9" and 165 isnt prototypical size (they make the combine bench 225 lbs for a reason, average NFL weight) but if you look around the league there are few DB's at that size too.

Plenty of good receivers have played in the NFL at that size and I can think of a few right out of Louisville.

Deion Branch

Height : 5-9
Weight : 192
College : Louisville
NFL Exp : 6

#85 Harry Douglas WR Height: 5'11" Weight: 170 Year: Sr LOUISVILLE
3rd round-Atlanta Falcons

I doubt Foster will put on 30-lbs to get near Branch's 192 but easily 10 to 15 to be around 180-lbs is feasible.

I think he will make the Dolphins roster, he will put on weight and excel as a WR in the NFL.
