We all know BP loves size so with that said it looks like this as of right now.

DE:
  1. V. Holliday 6'5 288 (I feel like he WILL be a DE this year in the new D)
  2. Q. Moses 6'5" 260 (BP guy because of speed)
  3. M. Roth 6'4" 272 (A great power rusher...kinda)
DT:
  1. R. Wright 6'5" 300 (Youth and sze)
  2. P. Soliai 6'4" 344 (Huge with power)
OLB:
  1. J. Taylor 6'6" 255 (Team Captain)
  2. J. Porter 6'3 250 (Emotional leader)
  3. D. Spragan 6'3" 242 (Great backup)
  4. M. Washington 6'3" 250 (Youth)
MLB:
  1. C. Crowder 6'2" 245 (No ZT)

All those ends are too small. If Parcells installs his kind off defense we will be trading Roth,Holiday, and well Moses is untradable, but he may be able to backup JT at OLB in a 3-4.

If Wright is still around 315 he will stay but I've heard he has dropped weight.

Fifita fits the bill of a backup nose but who who would the Dolphins start at nose.

Paul Soliai should move back to the OL. The Soliai as a DT, IMO, has failed miserably. He may actually be able to really help the team as a OL backup.
OL was his first position.

Crowder sucks but he does fit the "bill".

Spragan isn't a great anything and never was and now his career is over. Forget about him.

I wonder about the idea of moving Joey inside and drafting an outside LB or just picking up Boss Bailey.

I've never seen Washington play a down so ??????????

Don't count out Abe Wright at OLB but I think Pope and Miles are both too small for Parcells.

288 too small for DE, again your funny.

For the record, Roth weighed 288 last season and Holliday plays at between 275-280 pounds.

It is a mistake to say Parcell will release someone just because he is not the correct weight. I am sure his evaluation is more complex. For DE, it probably similar to the following.

1. Someone that is obsessed with the game of football
2. A high motor high effort type of player
3. Dominates the point of attack in the running game
4. Generates an effective push/rush on passing downs.
5. Fits the physical profile.

If BP and Ireland can find someone better, then Matt Roth is a goner. It should not be too hard since he does not meet any of the five criteria above. Vonnie Holiday meets at least two of the criteria above, so I doubt he is going anywhere. I have no idea about Q Moses. He made some plays last year as a rookie, but I do not know where he fits in Sparano's scheme. My guess is that Wright and Holliday are our starting DEs with JT playing a hybrid position.

I like seeing JT back at OLB, this will help out with our pass rush and could lead to more interceptions. However Crowder?!?, his as is going to get cut because he is a screw up off the field.

Parcels ain't gonna be a baby sitter.

Holliday is too small? At 6'5" 280+ he is too small? The guy played DT for us most of the time - I'd say he is more than tough enough and is a much better DE than DT. He was very tough for GB at DE - not sure why the heck we moved him inside - he took a beating. Holliday is perfect size for DE.
Wright needs to be 315? Are you kidding? He is perfect size. Show me a Cowboy DE that is 315? Wright needs to work on quickness and that's it - size is perfect. We have 2 decent ends and Moses has potential. With that I say BP drafts another DE because he loves that position.
Roth is a waste there IMO.

As for NT - Fifta needs to go and Solai should be snacking on roids or HGH instead of twinkies. Just joking but the guy should be in the weight room 7 days a week. He got pushed around badly for a guy that big.

I agree with Crowder and think he will have a very tough offseason - I think they will make him or break him in camp. AWright could be interesting at OLB and I hope Miles and Smith can make the team. It's nice to finally have some youth on D instead of these plug ins like Spragan.

Right now I see our 3-4 looking something like this:

LE:Roth
NT:paul Soliai
RE:Holliday

LOLB:porter
SMLB:Crowder
WMLB:?
ROLB:JT

If we were to lineup today that would probably be the starting lineup, but after evaluating the players and Parcells' preferences I could see us making changes on the dline. Matt Roth isn't a full time starter in the 3-4, because he is more of a pass rush specialist and a guy to be in the dline rotation. Soliai has the tools, but is still raw at the nose tackle position. I could see us possibly bringing a vet in or trading for one in the off season. Holliday is a solid vet and will remain on the team for at least this season. The only other major hole is the the other MLB positon. We have NO ONE to take over the other spot next to Crowder.

Crowder at MLB is one of the scariest thoughts I have ever had to face... God will we suck if he's in the middle

The thought of it just made me throw up in my mouth a little... Yaaaaaakkk

Not sure where you came up with that. By all accounts, Roth has both 1 and 2 in spades. He's also still developing as a pass rusher but that's his strong suit.

While I dont think Crower sucks I dont believe he is an impact player either.

288ish is too small for BP's taste. If you look at all of Dallas' DE they are around 300 lbs. I found it interesting that the DE's were as big or bigger then the DT's.

Seems reasonable, although Quentin Moses spelled JT last year. I think he may project better as an OLB, rather than a 3-4 DE. For what it's worth, I think Wright could play either DE or DT. I am still not sure where Roth fits.
