Bills | Bates candidate for DC position

What are they gonna do, hire all of our old unwanted, unmissed retreads?

Apparently he ain't the guy. Supposedly Chan is going to make an announcement today.
Bills board full of nominations, consensus seems to be it will be a college guy.

They can have him. The Bills will suck for the next decade.

Umm...I'm not so sure about that. This team will be much better now that Jauron is gone and if you don't believe that, then you are confused. Jauron was/is a horrible coach and did not win anywhere he was...Gailey has won everywhere he's been. To me, that is an improvement and I believe you'll see the Bills being much more competitive.

Gailey never had a winning season as head coach of the Samford Bulldogs. Thought I would correct you. ;)

Not arguing about Jauron being a horrible head coach, which he was, he did lead the Bears to a 13-3 record in 2001. Gailey isn't horrible, but really hasn't done anything to make anybody go "WOW, what a great hire for the Bills!!" Most reactions(after the laughing ends) was it was just a mediocre hire but one the Bills made because no coach really wants to be in Buffalo. Hence the reason Gruden, Cowher, Shanahan, Jim Harbaugh, Russ Grimm, etc. all turned them down.

Apparently Marty Shottenhiemer and Brian Billick wanted the job.

Buffalo is not an appealing job. NO QB, Toronto game, No OT's, Oldest Owner with no succession plans known.

gailey over billick or shotty = stupid move if that whats your saying,,trust me if billick wanted the job,,he would of gotten the job.
