Bills vs Jags/ Bengals vs Commanders

Well it's about Ross, will he wake up? Franchises who change after years of mediocrity often eventually change for the better when they get the right gm or coach or often both. It's true it doesn't mean the next gm will be good but things will neve get better if the team doesn't try. You miss all the shots you don't take. Bills are the perfect example of this. They had many years of mediocrity after kelly. Jp losman, ej mannuel as qbs? The bad teams. That was from their previous gm Doug Whaley. Then Brandon beane came and the rebound came back fast. Beane became gm 2017, just a year after allen gets drafted and in doing so he builds the o line, d line, the coach. Miami can bounce back fast, but ross has to wake up and get rid of grier for this to happen and maybe look at franchises that know what they are doing to see if he can get an exect there
I understand the point specifically about the trench building first.

However the timing of the Hiring in Buffalo was McDermott. Then Beane post draft. However McDermott ran that draft based off Whaleys GM work going into Draft.

Whaley Fired Beane hired post that draft and started blowing it up trading players that didn’t fit their culture like Watkins and Darby. (McD Passed on Mahomes trading back and getting assets took Tre White). Continued the tear down even after breaking the drought and finished the build. Took a down year and then rest is where we are now.

But didn't beane with mcdermott draft allen? since he became gm in 2017 from what I see. Allen was drafted 2018. Whaley got you guys ej emmanuel right and the mediocrity of the the bills prior right? Before mcdermott and beane the bills had bad qbs and just mediocre team for a very long time, minus the brief flutie stint

Happy for the Redskins. Just shows what you can do with a real QB.
I'm happy too because if they didn't get him the patriots would've. Thank god lol, Patriots were getting whatever qb washington doesn't get. That's why pats got drake, but they would've drafted jayden if washington picked drake instead

Honestly considering how shitty Dan Snyder was as an Owner and how shitty of a human he is: I am glad the Commanders are kicking ass.

Yes Beane with McD traded up to get Allen in Beanes First Draft. He was hired after the draft the year before McDermott ran that draft.

Just wanted to get timeline right. 2017 McD hired in Jan. 2017 draft McD passed in Mahomes. Beane hired in May 2017 after Whaley fired post draft.

Beane and McD take Allen in 2018

The 2017 was broken drought with Tyrod Taylor at QB. While “tanking” after trading away Dareus, Watkins, Darby and some others

It just shows how getting the right gm and coach can change a franchises fortune that's been stuck in mediocrity for so long before. It's not easy but I bring bills as an example to other miami fans here to say, it can happen when the owner makes the change and tries for another gm. It might not be a better gm, but it will never get better if the gm is not the guy they have and they just stick with it. Just like the old cliche, gonna miss all the shots not taken, Time for ross to wake up and make the change

I felt daniels would be good and the reason for that is I rememer seeing or learning how jayden seemed to play his best in college, the bigger the moment, the bigger the game and pressure was. It seemed like he would be even better then. He seemed to be a gamer and it's just one game but he was calm in that clutch moment

We have a new Brady vs Manning with Mahomes vs Allen and it's just unfortunate both are in our conference and one in our division. Once you have a great QB it's much easier to be consistent. It's hard building around a mediocre QB and staying consistent trying to retain every player under the cap while paying said QB top QB money. Sad days are ahead but nothing new looking at our history. Optimism is delusion at this point and a coping mechanism. At least the playoffs should be fun to watch as a neutral.

it's only far away because the owner is making that decision. Remember the bills were just like miami for so long. It finally changed for them when they got a new gm in 2017 brandon beane and coach mcdermott. From there they drafted allen in 208 and built the o line etc from there and have maintained the foundation of good d line and o line.

Josh Allen has played with maybe two variations of his offensive line the last three years. That's why they are so successful. He has 8 seconds to throw every play.
