How do all you gator fans out there feel right now?

Im sure most of you are also Magic fans. But I am a Buckeyes fan and I couldnt be happier that the Gators lost their head coach and most likely their chances at a 3-peat. At the same time Im a Magic fan and I couldnt be happier that we finally have a coach who can win in the playoffs.

How does everyone else feel about this move?

i'm with YOU! he's a GREAT coach, and it seems like a really good move for him, too. I think you'll see a better (not best) Magic team in 2008 for sure. BOO GATORS! haha

i hope you UF Fans enjoyed those Back-to-Back Titles.

im not sure if this is an "in your face" comment to Ohio State fans, or a "hope you liked it, cuz its gone" comment to UF fans

he's a total class act. whats sour about him?

i'm a tarheels fan btw...but i just felt like he has SO much potential and he acted like being at OS was a total waste of time...he didn't actually start PLAYING like GO until the end of the year. i'm a much bigger college fan than pro so to see a guy shrug off college play time beacuse his main focus is on going pro just sat badly with me all year. i think my sour feeling will stick with me for a long long time on this guy.

He needed the challenge and I understand. I mean as long as he did not leave for another college (Which he would have never done). I am very very happy with Anthony Grant coming in. He is a really bright young coach who knows how to recruit and get the best out of his players. I am worried about replacing Larry Shyatt tho

im sure if you had hundreds of millions of dollars at stake, you would be careful too. Many player skip the entire porcess due to the risk of injury. That is the only option for some because of the need to secure their future.

I'm happy for him.

Its not like he pulled a Saban. he never said he wasn't leaving for the Pros.
I think we can get a good coach, and good recruits.

Anthony Grant would be a fine replacement.

i'm just glad he wasnt on MY team because instead of focusing on games id be focusing on ways to get him out! i've been lucky enough that the good players who come to UNC typically stay to their sr. years. they are true to their college teams, not just using them as a stepping ladder into the NBA

i understand what youre trying to say and all, but you have to realize what kind of decision that takes on their part. If you're coming from a poor family who has worked very hard just to get by, you cant gamble with that kind of money when it can change your entire family's lives for the better. I really really like loyalty in a player, and anyone who is loyal themselves would know that true loyalty is always to family above all. I would never hold spite towards any player for making the decision for those reasons. In the same sentence I could say your loyalty isnt to the players. If you know that player is showing a great deal or class and dignity, then you have to know that he values his family above all else. Turning your back on a player like that is disloyal. He will be a great player in the NBA and he will be very loyal to the team that paid him that money, I'll guarantee that. If you want to see players stick with a team our of loyalty, then you should watch the NBA more often. In the NBA there are certain players that stick with a team and are like the backbone of the team, even if they arent the best player on the team. Darryl Armstrong type of guys. And they will stay with a team for most of their career and the fans will have a strong bond with them for a long time. That is much more rare in the college ranks. 4 years and youre gone, if youre lucky. Theres no time for loyalty. If you want to be remembered you better win a title. Thats the truth.
