He was a beast out of North Dakota State University. He would train with Brandon Albert and who knows when he would be back. He can go to the second level to the linebacker backers quickly. Jason Fox is subpar in the pass game protection, why not let Billy Turner Start. What does Miami have to lose.

It is hard to believe he is worse than Fox/Thomas.

If Albert is not effective, that may be an non appealing option.
Fox is worthless. I don't see how turner could be any worse.
This online is pathetic.
Replacing one turd with another turd.

I was so stoked about signing Suh and what we did at receiver......but the neglect of the offensive line, DB, and LBs is inexcusable.

Turn every stone, but didn't this guy look unfit to be a starter, technically and physically, in the preseason? Not just against Suh, but in the games as well. I don't see why pushing this guy into a starting role just because he played that spot in college is a sound argument. Beyond being a comfort spot, he did not look at all comfortable playing against NFL talent in the preseason.

what i'm saying is that the logic "replacing one turd for another turd" should really be "replacing one turd for an even bigger turd".

Well it can't be any worse. It wouldn't hurt. They are so bad there they have to do something like this.

I thought Turner was a run blocker but not good at pass blocking. If that's the case why the hell would we want him at left tackle?!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm pretty sure this coaching staff has got everything completely under control. ..... One of the prime examples of how this coaching staff doesn't have a clue is how they've handled Turner. Hope he's not ruined by the time our next HC gets to him.

Never really understood why they would try to convert him to guard anyway. He was a helluva LT in college.

He has great feet but has some deficiencies in technique, especially in pass pro - as such he's more suited to being inside, where he can better use his power/nasty attitude and short area movement.

He needs to learn on the field and I really do hope to see him out there at some stage - at least to know if he's a potential or to just move on. Put him at RG, bring back McClendon and insert him at LG - and then you have more physical inside combo - not as athletic as the current two guards, but more power that will do a better job in protecting the pocket and take care of the first level in the run game.

Right now, we're doing neither and a awful lot of that is down to the interior three - yep - including Pouncey

I'm of the opinion that Turner needs to be getting all the LT reps he can get. I personally never understood why our coaching staff was trying to take a LT and make him a RG. I think he needs to be put at LT and leave him there; but what do I know?!!!
