In the Orlando Sentinel this morning they have a full page tribute to Marino citing his accomplishments. Unfortunately in the right margin they list (in their opinion) the top 10 QB's of all time.
Marino is listed #4 (?) Behind Montana, Elway and.....Tom Brady.

I just can't believe how over-hyped Brady is. Yes he's a solid QB who leads his offense well, but 3rd all-time? It is ridiculous (talk about the flavor of the month). They even have him ahead of Bradshaw, Favre and Namath.
The guy who put this list together must be some 20 yr old kid from Mass.
If ever there was a QB who was a product of a system, it would be Tom Brady.
I would rank him about where I would rank Phil Simms. I don't even think Brady is top 3 in the league right now.

dude man i was reading that as i dropped a duece, i was tempted to use it as tp when i saw that scab ahead of dan. unreal

bullsh!t, Peyton deserves it more than Brady

Agreed, but at least let these guys near the end of their careers before putting them up against the likes of Unitas, Marino etc.

Yet Brady always beats Payton with less talent on offense and more talent on defense. Brady when all is done might be up there that high, but not right now.

A lot of people always leave out Unitas. It happens as the new generation never saw what he did. I always say top 4 is between Unitas, Elway, Montana and Marino.

Ranking Marino 4th, and behind Brady, shouldn't really surprise anyone familiar with the Sentinel. The rag belittles the team and those associated with it at seemingly every turn. That, even though there are more phin fans in Orlando than Buc or Jagoff fans. Orlando has a huge number of Marino loyalists, and to print this on the day of his induction is moronic to say the least.

The Orlando paper must not like the Phins much, because in the same sports page they do a position by position ranking of all NFL teams. They have Miami's D-line ranked 22nd overall. That's one position lower than the Colts. (???)

You are right and that fat, garbling idiot Jerry Green leads the bunch.

Brady doesnt beat Peyton. The Patriots beat the Colts.

Those f____ing scumbags from the Sentinel have always bashed the fins. Its because they're all from New York. I wish they'd go back. I never look at the crap cause I already know what they're gonna say. Orlando Sentinel sports has got to be the worst in the crountry. Hows that for topping a list.

well thats because you spelled its name wrong...its not the sentinel, its the SLANTINEL...That is a paper that refuses to hype its own FN home team. Who was the idiot that wrote it, Jerry Green?

I'll take Brady over Peyton everyday of the week and twice on Sundays...

Because you believe the hype. For example, there were many good QB's who because of circumstance, never received the accolades they deserved. Archie Manning, Brian Sipe and Steve Bartkowski come to mind. They all played for crappy teams.
Brady would be below average on an average team.
The great QB's carried their teams and made everyone around them better. They make plays when there isn't one to be made. Brady has never done that. Weiss called plays beautifully and receivers always seem to be open underneath.
I've yet to see Brady zip a pass through 2 defenders (tight coverage) more than 15 yds down field in the face of a blitz (Marino did it effortlessly).
We will see how good Brady is this season now that Weiss is gone. I think Brady will drift back to what he is. An average talent QB.
