sorry if there has been posts like this before, but ever sense i have been a dolphins fan, the one constant i can remember is having great middle linebackers. i started watching in marino era and can remember offerdahl, cox, and now zach thomas. all 3 have pro bowl ability although cox was difficult to control. then throw in nick buoniconti from the 70's. have we ever had a poor or average middle linebacker here? everyone always talks about the bears middle linebacker tradition. i think we should be mentioned in the same breath.

offerdahl used to be my favorite but zach has now taken over. maybe it's just that he is the most recent. but man does that guy have heart and dedication. put that w/ his size, overacheiving, never complaining, and just making every play sideline to sideline and i just really appreciate him. i pray he and jt get their ring before they leave a huge hole in this franchise. hate or love jj, at least he drafte jt and zt.

we got a good one when z.t retires.
d.pope they call him the future.
he's about zach's size but with better speed in coverage.
we will have great mlb's for years to come.
our dolphins are playoff bound.superbowl soon.

Pope? You are joking right?

Good post. Oh by the way, D. Pope is not the heir-apparent. He is nothing more than Zach's spit-shine boy and special teams player.

Your right they do have the heir waiting cept it's my IOWA BOY!!!!! Yeah that's right Edmund Miles!!!!!!! No I am kidding, love him, but right now I am just hoping he makes the roster, then I can start my homerish campaign:)

Just one question? Are you really Samoan?

Oh yeah, and of course Crowder is much better than Pope- but Pope is always good for a game or 2 if really needed....

Being Samoan is not something we joke about. Crowder is OK, kinda stiff and runs really bad, but he can get dirty.

Even if they do not become "star players," they will bring the Good Spirit to the team. Players will feel stronger and more energized from their presence. I think Samson will be a real player. He has the Haka within him. Reagan is powerul but must continue to eat a clean Polynesian diet to not get the Polynesian fat. When you first see the Haka, performed correctly (not like the New Zealand All-Blacks do for Rugby), the Joe Robbie Stadium will become captured by a warrior spirit. With the Samoan warrior spirit and the Good Spirit, it will not be fair to your opponents. In fact, once taken by the Haka, there is no need for Dolphins to wear pads. But do not do Haka in jest, it comes with a deep price.
